WATCH: Minneapolis Cop Charged for Kicking Man in Face and Lying About It

These days it is not uncommon for cops to get arrested for assault.
But Officer Christopher Reiter, 36, of the Minneapolis Police Department took things way too far when he kicked Mohamed Osman while he was already down on the ground.
Osman suffered severe brain injuries, brain bleeding and ended up with fractures in his face, including sinus fractures in his nose.
Because of the injuries, Osman is unable to work.

Two NYPD Cops Indicted Twice in Two Months for Falsely Jailing Two Innocent Men

Two NYPD cops thought they had an open-and-shut case when they arrested a man on drug charges, claiming he had seven grams of cocaine in his waistband, which could easily have sent him to prison for several years.
But now they are the ones facing a prison sentence after a surveillance camera proved they made the charges up.
The two New York City police detectives, Kevin Desormeau and Sasha Cordoba, both 33, were indicted Tuesday by the Queens District Attorney after a grand jury found enough evidence that they committed perjury and wrote false reports.

Minnesota Cop who Fired at Car for Mistakenly Backing into Him Charged with Felonies

A Minnesota cop who shot at a car filled with young women after they accidentally backed up into his patrol car was charged with two felonies Tuesday.
It was a fender bender, but Minneapolis police officer Efrem Hamilton said he was in fear for his life when he jumped out his car and fired a single shot within three seconds.
The bullet struck the side of the car, not striking any of the six women inside, who had nothing to do with the nightclub fight he was responding to in November.

Texas Cop on Trial After Caught on Video Illegally Searching PINAC Reporter’s Car

The criminal trial for a Texas cop who searched the car of a PINAC reporter without a warrant after arresting him for recording in front of a police department begins today.
Galveston Police Sergeant Archie Chapman probably did not realize his unconstitutional actions were being recorded by a dash cam inside Phillip Turner’s car in November 2015, even as Turner sat inside a jail cell.
Phillip Turner
Now Chapman is facing 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine if convicted.

Newly Elected West Virginia Sheriff Arrested Two Days After Taking Office for Stealing Meth from Property Room

Matthew “Bo” Williams was a West Virginia cop who decided to run for Roane County Sheriff last year, winning the election in November before he was sworn into office on Sunday.
He was arrested Tuesday for stealing methamphetamine from an evidence locker at his previous job.
Police and prosecutors say he had been addicted to methamphetamine for more than a year, something he admitted to them in November.
But something he never disclosed during his campaign.

Massachusetts Cop Married to Police Chief Rapes Inmate in Closet

What happens in the closet stays in the closet, right?
At least that’s what a Massachusetts cop was hoping for when he forced a drunk, naked inmate into a closet and performed oral sex on him before raping him on Halloween night.
Salem police officer Brian Butler, 56, said he simply “gave into temptation.” And insists the sex act between him and the 28-year-old man was consensual.
Considering he is married to the department’s police chief, he should be protected, right?
Except there’s video.

Drunk California Cop Violently Invades Home of Innocent Couple Looking for House Party

A California cop got drunk and went to a random couple’s house, thinking he was at the home of a fellow officer throwing a party.
But Oakland police Cullen Faeth ended up arrested on home invasion charges when he attacked the house’s occupants, knocking the woman to the ground and kicking her husband several times.
While the rookie cop was attacking the couple, another cop who has not been identified ran out from the couple’s backyard while pretending to hold a gun underneath his shirt before running away.

Milwaukee Cop who Killed Sylville Smith Arrested for Raping Men

After a raw demonstration of Pulp Fiction-style, ludicrous behavior, Milwaukee police officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown was in court Thursday wearing handcuffs and an orange suicide suit as he waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Brown – the cop who shot and killed Sylville Smith in August, sparking a weekend of riots – was arrested in mid-October for raping two men as well as soliciting male prostitutes while he was off duty.

Award-Winning Wisconsin Cop Charged with Shooting Man in Back

An award-winning Wisconsin police officer was charged with aggravated battery last week for shooting an unarmed man in the back as he lay facedown on the ground.
Brown Deer police officer Devon Kraemer claimed she shot the man “because she feared for her safety and that of her partner,” according to the complaint filed Friday, which was obtained by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
But prosecutors did not buy that story.
