Illinois Police Arrest Man for Felony Flag Burning on Fourth of July Despite it Being Protected Speech (Updated)

An Illinois man who celebrated the Fourth of July weekend by burning an American flag in protest against the United States was arrested Monday as a reminder that freedom in this country is mostly a facade.
After all, the United States Supreme Court ruled decades ago that flag burning as a form of protest is protected by the First Amendment, that same Constitutional act that also guarantees us free speech, including the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

Watch: Chicago Meter Maids Issue Parking Tickets Before Posting “No Parking” Signs

A Chicago resident’s surveillance video captured meter maids writing parking tickets where no signs were posted, and then putting up “no parking” signs afterwards.
“It feels like an undeserved ticket at this point. These signs were not here when I parked last night. I got home from work about 2 o’clock last night. I’m in the house all night. And I come out this morning with a ticket on my car,” Joseph Castleberry, the victim of the scam, told Fox32.

Watch: Chicago Cop Charged with Felony After Beating Handcuffed Patient

A Chicago man was held down, beaten with brass knuckles and left naked in a jail cell before being taken to a hospital for injuries where he was then beaten again by the same cop while still handcuffed.
Chicago police officer Clauzell Gause was charged with official misconduct on May 17 after newly-released surveillance video from 2014 captured him pushing a handcuffed man into a hospital room, throwing him face-first into a wall and then punching him in the face before shoving him onto a hospital bed.

Illinois Police Arrest Man for Felony Wiretapping After He Recorded Them in His Home

An Illinois man was arrested on felony eavesdropping charges after informing police he was recording them in his own home over the weekend.
New Lenox police claim Daniel Murphy made this announcement while “surreptitiously recording” them, which is legal jargon for secretly recording
Nevertheless, the arrest of the 25-year-old man raises legal questions about the state’s new and improved eavesdropping law, which replaced the previous Draconian law that was ruled unconstitutional in 2014 after numerous citizens were arrested for recording police in the line of duty.

Watch: Illinois Cops Drag Man Out of Car for Recording and Remaining Silent

Illinois cops pulled a car over for speeding, then dragged a man out of the back seat because he would not stop recording.
Dolton police then forced Steven S. Sinnot facedown on the street and handcuffed him, telling him, he should “learn how to listen.”
“I just had my hands where he could see them,” Sinnott says as he was being dragged out as you can see in the video below.
“I didn’t move or nothing. I don’t consent to no search,” he continues.
“Shut the fuck up!” said the cop named Doiley who dragged him out.

Illinois Campus Cop Drops Gun After Trying to Pry Information from Activist Outfit Off Campus (Update)

An Illinois college campus cop who was acting slick when trying to pry information about an activist center that happens to be off campus ended up dropping his gun after he was told to go stuff it.
The Southern Illinois University police officer, whom we’ve identified as Detective John Christel, was in in plainclothes when he was captured on video asking questions about the Flyover Infoshop, which abides by “anarchistic principles.”
