On Friday US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued a statement ahead of the Syrian government’s campaign to liberate Idlib from ISIS/Al Qaeda jihadist control.
Pompeo sent a warning to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, followed with a tweet pretending to care about the people in Idlib, captive under the very jihadists the CIA and Obama White House helped train and arm…

“The 3 million Syrians, who have already been forced out of their homes and are now in Idlib, will suffer from this aggression. Not good. The world is watching.”

DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:30 P.M.) – A convoy for the Syrian Army heading to the outskirts of Idlib for upcoming offensive was warmly welcomed by residents of al-Ghab Plain in northwest Hama countryside.
The convoy belongs to the SAA’s elite 4th Armored Division which was tasked with fighting jihadi groups near al-Ghab Plain once the full-scale offensive begins.

As speculation mounts that the Syrian army is preparing for a Russia-backed “anti-terror operation” in Idlib, dubbed by one army officer as “the final battle,” video has emerged of a convoy of Syrian Army troops heading towards the frontline.

As they passed through Maar Shahour village in Hama Governorate, soldiers rode on top of lorries carrying tanks, artillery and armored personnel carriers.

MOSCOW — Tensions on a global scale are mounting once again in Syria, as forces aligned with Damascus prepare to wipe out the last-remaining pocket of anti-government resistance in Idlib, the overwhelming bulk of which consists of terrorist al-Qaeda affiliates. The clock is ticking as allied Russia builds its forces offshore in a warning to the United States not to gamble on any last-ditch move to stave off what Moscow called the impending “liquidation” of the rebel-held province.

NEW YORK — During a speech delivered on Tuesday to the United Nations Security Council, Syria’s Permanent UN Representative Bashir al-Jaafari claimed to have provided information to the council that was evidence that armed opposition groups, including Al Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra Front, were gearing up to use chemical weapons against civilians in the Syrian province of Idlib in an effort to frame the Syrian government for the attack.
