It is hard to imagine that along with the catastrophe that has been inflicted on Syria for the past six years, another calamity is unfolding in Yemen of damning proportions while the whole world looks on with indifference.

(ANTIWAR) — Saudi warplanes have attacked northern Yemen’s Sadaa Province, the Shi’ite-dominated home of the Houthi movement, hitting a crowded marketplace in the Shada District, killing at least 25 civilians and wounding an unknown number of others.

In 2015, US logistics coordinator Scott Darden was captured by Houthi forces in the Yemeni capital city of Sanaa, and held for six months before his release. During that time, he was presented purely as participating in helping the delivery of humanitarian aid into the country.

They seem to be picking up the pace substantially, with the Pentagon saying more than 70 strikes were launched just in March.

An air strike by a Saudi-led coalition on a market in Yemen killed 20 civilians and six rebels on Friday, medical and military sources said.
The aircraft tried to target Houthi rebels at a roadblock on the southern outskirts of the Red Sea port of Khoukha, but the fighters fled to a market where they were attacked, the sources claimed.
