Massive Fire Caused by Arson Damages Los Angeles Freeway Used by 300,000 Cars Daily
The fire was reportedly caused by arson in storage lots below the freeway that were filled with pallets and cars. The California Department of Transportation leased the storage yard to Apex Development Inc. that reportedly subleased the site to five or six other companies. There was a homeless encampment nearby.

Homeless People Forced to Move Their Encampments for the Oscar Show
LA forced homeless people out of an encampment next to the awards show. A homeless man, said, "They told us if we didn’t move, they were gonna just demolish our stuff and [that] if we have any warrants out on us they're gonna take us to jail.” He said they "forced us to go to the Grand Hotel on Third and Figueroa."
Washington State Lawmakers Introduce Bill to Legalize Permanent Homeless Camps Statewide, Which Will Increase the Problem
Washington state lawmakers propose making permanent homeless encampments legal statewide, that will likely increase the spread of garbage, drug needles and human excrement on the streets across the state. Some homeless people refuse help and to go to shelters because they do not want to follow rules.
