Is this the beginning of the end for Monsanto? After reporting that the company is letting go of thousands of their workforce, the company is projecting not only weak sales of their GM corn, but also of one of their biggest, and now most controversial sellers – Roundup.

As news of Monsanto’s falling stock, and laid-off employees reaches the far stretches of the media circus, another dire report for the biotech company becomes common knowledge: glyphosate nearly doubles cancer risk.
A group of scientists from the Indian Institute of Science (IIS) has researched the commonly used herbicide, Roundup, and found that it damages the endocrine system and disrupts hormonal balance in rats.
Monsanto is being sued again, this time by 2 separate agricultural workers who allege the agribusiness’ Roundup herbicide caused their cancers.
The farm worker and horticultural assistant also say Monsanto intentionally misled the public and regulators about the dangers of Roundup. [1]

Scientists from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry have published a damning study for pesticide manufacturers It shows a correlation between parental exposure to toxic pesticides and an increased chance of offspring developing brain cancer. Specifically, parents exposed to the toxic stew up to 2 years before giving birth are more likely to see their offspring develop brain cancer. In fact, the chances double.
Researchers have found that in some biotech study cases meant to measure the safety of Round Up crops, the rat feed given to rats in both the control group AND the testing group was contaminated with the same GMOs and pesticides (and heavy metals). In other words, laboratory rodent feeds are highly contaminated with pesticides, toxic metals, PCBs, and GMOs.
