Four years ago, not even the most liberal, Marxist candidate would have praised leftist violence. He or she would have tried to look for the “legit” side of such action, but they would have never endorsed it. But now, we have precisely this kind of rhetoric, only thinly masked. (and not with a COVID mask either.)

Kamala Harris just made history as the first (Vice?) Presidential candidated to support violence “as an agent of change.” Fox carried this report, written by Sam Dorman [emphasis added for subsequent comment – Ed.]:

Racism proves again that it is a cancer that’s ravaging American society. As of late it seems to have metastasized to an uncontrollable disease that is snuffing our relationships, human dignity, careers, and common decency in the U.S. The various incidences of racial strife over the last several years, ranging from continued police brutality to the rise in racist extremist groups, points undoubtedly to the fact that America has a problem with race.

What do young progressives believe? In the popular vernacular, they are described as “liberals” or “leftists,” but these familiar labels obscure what is novel about the ideology many young activists are trying to advance in our universities, cultural institutions, media outlets, and even corporations. On issues of race, diversity, gender, and sexual expression these activists have made a clean break with their liberal forebearers.

If one excludes the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 which exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, in December 1988, the worst terrorist attack ever in peacetime Britain was  the 7/7 London bombings of 2005. This saw four Islamist fanatics travel to the capital from the provinces and detonate bombs:  three on London Underground trains, the fourth on a bus. These attacks in Central London caused the immediate deaths of 52 innocent people, those of the terrorists themselves, and the maiming of hundreds.
