Russia and Saudi Arabia have agreed to extend the current output deal to at least the end of 2019. The deal between the two energy powerhouses has made the future OPEC meeting in Vienna redundant.

Trump gives Huawei breathing room as trade talks with China resume after G20 (Video)

In a compromise move, Trump agreed to allow US companies to sell parts to Huawei, while not excluding the firm from the US’ blacklist.

Putin: Claims of Russia’s aggressiveness are ‘illusion’ used to solve domestic problems

Moscow has no aggressive intensions against any country, but other countries’ policies will always be met with a symmetrical response, Vladimir Putin said during a final press conference at G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.
“I want to tell you the good news – we don’t have any intentions to carry out aggressive actions against anyone,” Putin said when asked if Russia is ready to “choose a different path” in order to improve ties with the UK and the West.

Trump and Putin meet anyway, but future meeting plans on hold

US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin did meet after all, speaking informally for a period of time during the G20 meeting held in Buenos Aires, Argentina over the weekend of Nov 30-Dec 1. However, at the present time, prospects for a more substantive policy meeting between the two leaders look dim, with the Kremlin’s Dmitry Peskov categorically saying that there is no possibility of President Putin going to Washington, D.C. for a meeting, at least not at this time.
