Jury: Johnson & Johnson Failed To Warn of Talc Powder-Cancer Risk

On May 2, Johnson & Johnson was ordered by a U.S. jury to pay $55 million to a woman who had alleged the company’s talcum-powder products, which she had used for feminine hygiene, caused her ovarian cancer. It is the 2nd straight time the company lost a verdict.
Johnson & Johnson is currently facing about 1,200 lawsuits accusing it of failing to warn consumers about the cancer risks associated with its talc-based products.

Another new analysis shows that diet high in cholesterol probably won’t give you a heart attack. Neither will a diet rich in eggs. Researchers from the University of Eastern Finland found eating a boatload of eggs and globs of cholesterol don’t raise risk of heart disease, even in individuals genetically predisposed.

Sea Hero Quest is the game, and it requires players to navigate courses to find pieces of a missing map. You must locate precious artifacts – in this case, memories – by collecting them from different locations all around the world.

DOJ Drops Prosecution of Biggest Medical Marijuana Dispensary in US

On Tuesday, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) dropped a 4-year-long effort to shut down Harborside Health Center in Oakland, California, the largest marijuana dispensary in the US.

Munchkin Pacifiers Recalled Due to Choking Hazard

Approximately 180,000 Munchkin pacifiers, the style “Latch TM lightweight pacifiers and clips,” have been recalled due to choking hazards. Sold as a set with a pacifier and clip, they contain a clip cover that can come off and as such, present a choking hazard to your little ones. [1]
The pacifiers were sold between March 2014 and March 2016 in stores across the US like Target, Amazon, Babies R Us, and Wal-Mart. They have also been stocked online at Munchkin.com, where parents could order the pacifiers straight to their homes. They retailed anywhere from $11 to $15.

Edible Silverware Could Cut Down on Plastic Waste and Pollution

Know what would be really different? If you’re sitting around with friends enjoying dinner, and suddenly you start eating your knife and fork. Of course you can’t eat silver or plastic, but edible utensils do exist, and you might have seen them recently on Facebook.
A video of a guy biting into a spoon is making the rounds, and I’m a little ashamed to admit that instead of thinking about how much plastic would be kept out of landfills and oceans, I immediately wanted to get my hands on some so I could pull off the above dinner scenario.
