The arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell this week has led to a media feeding frenzy and calls for Prince Andrew to talk to the FBI, including from the lead lawyer prosecuting the case, Audrey Strauss of the Southern District, New York. He should not. The answer to the question why not is two words: Michael Flynn. Or alternatively George Papadopoulos.
The good news is that the Tara Reade allegations have now totally collapsed due to stellar investigating by some of the same people who rubber stamp any lunatic allegation against Donald Trump. The bad news is that the Donald Trump/Ukraine quid pro quo has become quid pro Joe with the release of a tape by the Ukrainian Government.

The entertainer Michael Jackson will have been dead eleven years this June. In death as in life, there are people who have no inhibitions about trashing his reputation. And in death as in life, there are those who are willing to take them on.
On the face of it, it’s easy to believe Michael Jackson was a serial paedophile. There were the Chandler allegations in 1993 which were resolved with a massive out-of-court settlement, then there was the 2005 criminal trial that saw him cleared of all charges, but how can anyone accused of so many offences be totally innocent?
Yet another “powerful man” has been tried for sexual offences against multiple women, but this time the accused has been totally vindicated. Alex Salmond was First Minister of Scotland from 2007 to 2014. This month he stood trial at Scotland’s highest court, a trial that ended Monday. Scotland’s unique legal system has 15 jurors and 3 verdicts with no hung juries. Also, corroboration is required for conviction, traditionally two pieces of evidence.
