His twitter following (278K) is tiny compared to other national leaders-- Pelosi (2.52 million), Schumer (1.98 million), AOC (4.18 million), even the reviled McTurtle (875K)...
The same establishment hacks-- think Neera Tanden of the grotesquely corrupted Center for American Progress, for example-- who foisted Hillary Clinton on the Democratic Party (bringing us Trump) now want us to get behind another Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden-- and for many of the same shiny reasons. Hillary represented the status quo establishment then; Biden does now. She was the most experienced candidate ever then; he is now.
Just hours after the media disclosed that Mueller was not happy about how Barr had twisted his investigation's findings on Trump-- watch Maddow above-- Barr waddled over to the Senate, confident that the Judiciary Committee chair, Lindsey Graham, would protect him. Graham actually only made things worse by lying so blatantly that at least one TV news station was forced to break in to let their viewers know Graham wasn't being truthful. Anyway, before Barr waddled, everyone had already read Mueller's letter. Not you?

These two questions, while it may be too early to ask them, are nonetheless worth considering. For one thing, the issue of Sanders' age, for those who are inspired by his policies, can be easily countered if he chooses a vice-president who is a) younger and b) just as progressive or nearly so.
If that were still the case-- required civics classes-- more people would understand the difference between what the House does (impeachment) and what the Senate does (removal from office). They're not the same and there was never any reasonable chance that Trump would be removed by this Senate-- not even if he did take a gun out to the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone. That just speaks to the nature of the conservative movement, 2019. You'd need 2/3s of the Senators to remove Trump. Where you going to find that?
Emerson did another one of their close-up polls, this one in the very blue state of Massachusetts. With Trump's approval at a mere 29%, it can't be a surprise to anyone that any of the Democrats' potential nominees would beat him handily.
It sickens me to see politicians get off with slaps on the wrist when they are caught in criminal activities-- even child rape. Same goes for banksters, corporate executives and the super-wealthy. These people should be punished more harshly, not less harshly because of their place in the social strata.
