US-Coalition Airstrikes Killed 472 Civilians In Syria Last Month

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has issued a report today covering the civilian death toll of US-led coalition airstrikes in Syria over the past month, from May 23 to June 23, reporting at least 472 civilians, the largest in any 30-day period since the US started bombing Syria in 2014.

Syrian army continues advance against ISIS; Kurds surround ISIS in Raqqa

ISIS has suffered two further blows in Syria.
Firstly there is confirmation that the Syrian army has resumed its advance along the main highway from Palmyra to Deir Ezzor.  Yesterday the Syrian army successfully captured the so-called T3 pumping station from ISIS, and latest reports say that it is close to capturing the Arak gas fields east of the recently liberated town of Arak on the main highway from Palmyra to Deir Ezzor.

Raqqa raid suggests Russian intelligence has sources inside ISIS

Russian President Putin received a report from Russian Defence Minister Shoigu yesterday during a meeting of Russia’s Security Council concerning the claims that a Russian air strike might have killed the ISIS leader Ibrahim Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.
The report of the meeting on the Kremlin’s website is careful not to repeat this claim or even to mention Al-Baghdadi’s name

CONFIRMED: ISIS collapses east of Palmyra, Syrian army advancing towards Deir Ezzor

Shortly after news of the huge concentration of 50,000 Syrian troops and allied militia in the Palmyra area has come news of the Syrian army storming the town of Arak on the main highway to Deir Ezzor from Palmyra, and preparing a major advance along the same highway towards the important town of Al-Sukhnah.
