In this party stream we will reflect on the good and bad of 12 or 13 years of media analysis and creation, how things have evolved, stories of famous and infamous peeps we’ve met, the highs and lows, how we got to 50k in a few years, as well as analyzing two fun CAGE RAGE classics, Con Air and Vampire’s Kiss, as well as promotion of our buds who show up.
I seldom go to the movies anymore as I nearly always leave underwhelmed. There have been exceptions in recent years—The Martian, Birdman—but in general the most hallowed films out of Hollywood (modern ones, anyway) don’t resonate with me at all. They’re more confusing and alienating than anything else. How is it that so many people found so much to like about Moonlight, for example? or Green Book? To that list I’ll add Carol, The Hateful Eight and, last and certainly least, The Big Short.
I saw the Joker and was puzzled by some elements. I discuss the archetypal and historical usages of the clown and the jester, and how it relates to Nietzsche and nihilism. Phoenix goes full on vegan and shows us the dark future of Hollywood’s vision. Tell me what you think!

With nods to Russian versions of MK ULTRA, the story centers around the NKVD style creation of sex operatives at work in the “new Cold War” between the “free” west and “evil” Russia. “Noble” CIA operatives square off against perverse Putin-looking Russkies in this laughable portrayal.
