A blast has ripped through a Syrian bus convoy on the outskirts of Aleppo today. Residents of two villages, Foua and Kefraya, were being evacuated after it was reported a deal was struck between warring parties.
Al-Masdar is reporting that Israeli jets have bombed the Falita Barrens in northwest Damascus.
Early reports suggested that Syrian Arab Army positions were targeted.
The Syrian Air Defence has said that SAA troops are not in the area.
Local sources suggest Hezbollah fighters were hit.
Hezbollah and Israel have not yet commented.
If confirmed this would constitute a war crime according to international law.

With Rex Tillerson on his way to Russia, moments ago Russian president Vladimir Putin shocked reporters when he said that Russia has received intelligence from “trusted sources” that more attacks using chemical weapons are being prepared on the Damascus region, meant to pin the blame on the Assad government.

Monumentgate is officially a new word in the political lexicon. It can be used to describe the scandal over when various world-monuments (exclusively in the west) are lit up in the colours of a country’s flag to show solidarity with that state, or otherwise, when the lights are switched off in a sign of mourning.
I personally have always felt that lighting up various monuments in the colours of a foreign flag to be a bit tacky and hypocritical, not least because such things are usually done in countries that are state sponsors of terrorism themselves.
An offensive launched two weeks ago by Al-Qaeda in the northern areas of Syria’s Hama province appears to be unravelling, with Jihadi forces in the area coming under heavy bombing by the Russian air force and forced onto the retreat by a counter-attack launched by the Syrian army.
