Fifth Anniversary of Crimea’s ‘Historic Choice’ Reunification with Russia
Fireworks lit up Crimea’s skies on Monday, marking the five-year anniversary of reunification of the Crimean Peninsula with the Russian Federation. Watch:
A special message acknowledging the anniversary was delivered by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova during the weekly briefing on March 15th:
Crimean people would gladly vote to join Russia again, polls show [Video]
On March 16, 2014, Crimea held a referendum election on the question of rejoining the Russian Federation and seceding from Ukraine. The vote passed by an enormous margin, nearly 97% of the voters saying they wished to rejoin Russia. That number was amplified by the 83.1% voter turnout. Clearly this was a very pressing matter for the Crimean people.
Kremlin points to US missile tests as proof INF scrapping was planned
TASS New agency reported March 14 that Moscow sees US activity in regard to missile tests stands as proof that the Americans intended for the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty to fail.

Photos of new Iskander base near Ukrainian border creates media hype
Fox News obtained satellite photos that claim that Russia has recently installed new Iskander missile batteries, one of them “near” to the Ukrainian border. However, what the Fox article does not say is left for the reader to discover: that in regards to Ukraine, these missiles are probably not that significant, unless the missiles are much longer range than reported:

Russia’s VESTI News is truly an entertaining channel at times. This news service is strongly supported by the Russian government, and one of the criticisms it receives from Russian people is that it is an “extreme” propaganda house, telling all manner of crazy stories to distract its watchers’ attention away from the real problems that Russian people face at home.
Russia calls on US to put a leash on Petro Poroshenko
Russia called on Washington not to ignore the Poroshenko directives creating an active military buildup along the Ukrainian-Donbass frontier, this buildup consisting of Ukrainian forces and right-wing ultranationalists, lest it “trigger the implementation of a bloody scenario”, according to a Dec 11 report from TASS.
