COVID-19 Underlying Conditions

Out of 220,000 claimed Covid-19 deaths, 88,208 were patients who died from pneumonia and the flu, 17,798 died from chronic respiratory diseases, and over 51,000 patients died from heart attacks. Over 131,000 cases diagnosed as Covid-19 deaths already had life-threatening diseases.

Economist Genevieve Briand discovered that, while the number of deaths rose drastically for COVID-19, all other causes declined by about the same number. Briand believes that deaths due to heart diseases, respiratory diseases, influenza and pneumonia have been recategorized as deaths from COVID-19.

A recent CDC report revealed that hospitals have been counting patients who died from serious preexisting conditions as COVID-19 deaths. Over 51,000 deaths from heart attacks and heart disease were counted as COVID-19 deaths. A CDC document states, "For 6% of all deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned."

A new study looked at data from 5,700 people with COVID-19 who were admitted to hospitals within the Northwell Health system, which currently has the largest number of COVID-19 cases in the country, and found that 94% of them had at least one other disease in addition to COVID-19.

President Trump said that authorities in New York are categorizing deaths from heart attacks as heart attacks caused by COVID-19, and then said this was OK because it was "just in case".

Data released from New York state show that the vast majority of Empire Staters who allegedly died from the Coronavirus had at least one additional illness, and most of them also were over age 60.

The CDC website states, "Among 457 ICU admissions and 1,037 non-ICU hospitalizations, 358 (78%) and 732 (71%), respectively occurred among persons with one or more reported underlying health condition."
