I'm sure no one doubts that Trump and his allies have every intention in the world of causing as much chaos as they can-- and worse-- in the 2020 Democratic primaries.

Senator Cory Booker called on the House of Representatives to pass a bill, that was passed by the Senate last summer, to designate lynching as a hate crime. [Cannot help but wonder if these same wise legislators would consider designating the fabrication of a hate crime to be a hate crime.]

He's probably not as bad as some of the other moderates-pretending-to-be-progressives but he's not someone I'd want to see as the Democratic nominee. Better than Trump? Duh. Cory Booker's seat is up in 2020 but he persuaded New Jersey's very pliable legislature to pass a bill making it possible for "someone" to run for their Senate seat and for president at the same time. Booker has a ProgressivePunch "A" score. In fact, they rate his lifetime crucial vote record as the 4th best in the Senate, fractionally better than Bernie's! But he's not someone I'd vote for in a presidential primary.

In the past 18 months, Rand Paul has been the target of a gunman on a baseball field, was savagely attacked by a neighbor, and has been subjected to screaming protests at the airport. His family has received numerous threats of extreme violence.

Kavanaugh responded to the attack on his character by accusing Democrats of smearing him for political purposes, and damaging the process of appointing Supreme Court justices.
