Ukraine is Turning into Liberia: “The love of liberty brought us here”

Earlier this month while delivering a public lecture in Kiev, “The Challenges of an Ever-Changing World,” former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice made an inspiring remark for anyone who might have been thinking that life in Ukraine was bad:

You should go to Liberia where the standard of living is much lower, and then you will be thankful.

My Favorite Presidential Candidate

The candidate I’m voting for acknowledges that forgiving and forgetting U.S. war crimes has not worked. They continue to haunt and hamper us. Former administration officials who lied us into war in Afghanistan and Iraq must be brought to justice. We need to know who falsified the intelligence and why. Remember their catchy slogan: “We don’t want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud”?
Hundreds of thousands have died and many innocents continue to suffer for this cynical deception.

Out of the Mouth of Babes

On September 3, 2014 The Associated Press reported:  “Secretaries of State past and present meet for rare reunion for a museum ground breaking event…a museum and education centre that will demonstrate the ways in which diplomacy matters now and has mattered throughout American history.  Secretary of State John Kerry warned Wednesday against creeping American isolationism, making the case that U.S. global leadership is essential in uncertain times as he hosted a rare public reunion of five of his predecessors.”

Freedom to live ordinary lives… as per the 2005 promises. That’s all the Gazans want

Condoleezza Rice (US Secretary of State) said the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza returned control of that territory to the Palestinian people and the EU would play an important role in implementing the scheme. “This agreement is intended to give the Palestinian people freedom to move, to trade, to live ordinary lives.

I have just received a very disappointing reply from my true-blue Tory MP to pleas for real government action over the slaughter in Gaza.

Gaza: “Raw power is killing those who struggle for Justice

Image above: The Quartet met in New York, NY on 9/20/2005 to discuss the Roadmap to Peace – the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and the West Bank which is supposed to bring peace to the Middle East with the establishment of a contiguous Palestinian state.

“The Palestinian people’s resistance in Gaza today is admirable, it is fair and it is a struggle for all of us. We do not want a world where raw power can be abused, to kill those who struggle for Justice.”

Lebanonisation of Iraq…

Michael Ledeen was also behind the fake documents of supposed Iraqi purchase of yellow cake uranium powder from Niger. His lie was crucial in Tony Blair and Bush’s decision to invade Iraq resulting in the death of hundreds of thousands of human life. In addition, he was one of several Zionist neoconservatives – suspected of spying for Israel and had long been association with Israeli think tanks – who infiltrated the dens of the Pentagon advocating the “creative destruction” theorem to remake the “New Middle East.”

The West Marches East

In Part 1 of this series – ‘The West Marches East’ – I examined the circumstance that while Russia has received the majority of the blame for the more than six-month-crisis in Ukraine, these events did not take place in a vacuum, and, in fact, the Western powers and institutions – notably the United States, NATO and the European Union – have broke promises made at the end of the Cold War to expand NATO – a Western military alliance that was created in opposition to the Soviet Union – to Russia’s
