This weekend 75 years ago, the German city of Dresden was razed to the ground by British and American aerial bombardment. The Yalta Conference had many smiling faces and gentlemanly hand shakes while all parties involved kept Cold War daggers behind their backs.

In the final analysis, ‘facts don’t care about your feelings,’ or so they say. In the case of UkraineGate, the facts have been largely discarded in favour of a prescribed foreign policy narrative, one that’s custom-made to drive forward a New Cold War for the 21st century.
