Yesterday, US mainstream media outlet CNN threatened to expose the identity of a Reddit user who is said to have created the spoof ‘WWF’ video meme which was Tweeted by President Donald Trump on Sunday morning, showing Trump in a cartoon fight with CNN.
This was the offending Tweet which Trump released on Sunday morning, including a video meme gleaned from Reddit:
CNN has admitted that it has discovered the identity of a man who originally made the “Trump body-slams CNN” meme.
CNN personnel have contacted the man forcing him to apologise on Reddit using his pseudonym. However CNN remains committed to exposing the man’s ideneity to the world should he retract his apology.
According to CNN,
“CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that (his apology) change”.
Fake news does not help news network ratings. Just ask CNN.
The media giant saw its viewership numbers take a big hit in June after having its “fake news” reporting exposed in a variety of scandals, from Project Veritas videos, to made up Russia-collusion news, and even Trump body slamming the network via twitter.
