Photos have emerged of French Presidential candidate Marine Le Pen in the lobby of Trump Tower.
Le Pen’s people are being tight lipped about whether she will meet with Trump or members of his team, but I find it hard to believe that she’s there for the ambience alone.

Russian President Putin and Turkish Erdogan had a further telephone conversation today, in what has now become a regular series of such calls.

Donald Trump’s spokesman and incoming press secretary Sean Spicer called Buzzfeed documents a ‘sad and pathetic attempt to get clicks.’
Mike Pence, the incoming vice president, says the media has attempted “to delegitimize this election”. He called the publication of the documents was the result of “media bias and an attempt to demean the president-elect.”
Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson, gets grilled t0da7 by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee – on every foreign policy issue, with Russia dominating the conversation.
Tillerson however, broke rank with President-elect Trump, saying that Russia’s recent actions “disregarded American interests.” He went on to say that Russia has ‘no legal claim’ to Crimea and that “Russia today poses a danger” to the US.

The UN Security Council has just unanimously passed a Russian drafted resolution which affirms the terms of the ceasefire agreement for Syria, originally composed by Russia and Turkey.
Strictly speaking, the agreement did not need Security Council ratification, but it is significant that Russia decided to have the UNSC effectively certify the document by passing it as a binding resolution.
