Judge Richard Seeborg of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California blocked President Trump’s 'Migrant Protection Protocols' MPP policy that would have forced asylum seekers from Central America to wait in Mexico while their cases proceed.

She was heavily criticized and harassed for enforcing the separation of families at the border before the policy was changed. She has been replaced by Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan, the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection who served as its deputy commissioner under Obama.

Trump changed his mind about closing the US border with Mexico to stop the flow of illegal drugs and migrants, instead, he gave Mexico a 'warning' to fix the border, [Even the President's strongest supporters are beginning to lose faith that any of his campaign promises will be kept in the long run.]

The US Congress is divided and refuses to pass legislation to change catch-and-release policies that allow illegal aliens to stay in the US while awaiting court hearings, in addition to allowing chain migration, birthright citizenship, visa lottery and unfair asylum policies to remain.

The Hill reported on 14 March that the US Senate voted to reject President Trump’s recently declared National Emergency at the US-Mexico border, a move the President made in order to secure funds needed for further construction of the highly controversial Border Wall.

President Trump signed a continuing resolution to keep the US government fully running through the rest of the 2019 fiscal year. The CR contained a $1.374 bn allocation for US border security, and that money includes and pays for the completion of some fifty-five miles of border fence (or wall, or barrier, or “not-a-wall” depending on one’s preferential phrasing.) He also declared a National Emergency, theoretically freeing at least another $8 bn for the continued construction of the border wall.

Representative Mo Brooks (R-AL) says the spending deal will lead to an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens because the bill stops illegal aliens from being deported and makes sure that newly arrived border crossers are resettled in the US.

Trump signed a bill to reopen the government for 3 weeks and says he may shut it down again or might use emergency powers if a deal is not reached on a border wall. Democrat Senator, Chuck Schumer, says, if Trump declares an emergency to build the wall, it will be challenged in court.

Most of the students reacted Trump's comments negatively, calling the quotes racist, discriminatory, and lacking of inclusion. They were surprised when they discovered the quotes were made by Democrats Hillary Clinton, Barak Obama, and Chuck Schumer.

Pelosi said she wants to secure the borders by building infrastructure and roads at ports of entry, install new technology to scan cars and trucks for drugs, hire more personnel at the border and more innovation to detect crossings at the border. Schumer accused Trump of stoking fear.
