As America Separates Families at the Border, a Look Back at the Cruel Practice

Indian Country remembers. This is not the first administration to order the forced separation of families.
The Trump administration has initiated a zero-tolerance policy on the border. Zero tolerance means that people caught crossing the border are treated as criminals.
On Friday, the Department of Homeland Security said the Trump administration separated 1,995 children from the adults they were traveling with at the U.S. border between April 19 and May 31.

International Commission Investigating Border Patrol Killing Of Mexican Migrant

SAN DIEGO – In the first case of its kind, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights has given the United States three months to respond to charges of abuse of human rights, from the family of a man killed by Border Patrol agents in 2010.
Border watchers consider it a major test of the Trump administration’s stand on immigration, crime and law enforcement.
