Missouri Cop Fired for Pointing Weapon at Protesters Now Claims Life is “Ruined”

The Missouri cop who pointed an assault rifle at demonstrators during the 2014 Ferguson protests, telling them “I will fucking kill you,” only to end up fired after the video went viral, is now whining that his life is “ruined.”
But only because he is at risk of losing his law enforcement license.
Not because he is facing any actual criminal charges, which would be the case had he not been granted Blue Privilege.

Award-winning Virginia Cop who Pushed for Photos of Teen’s Erect Penis for Investigative Purposes Kills Himself to Avoid Arrest for Child Molestation

A Virginia police officer whose job was to investigate online sex crimes against children committed suicide Tuesday – moments before he was to be arrested for online sex crimes against children.
Manassas police officer David Edward Abbott, Jr. was the same cop who made  headlines last year when he tried to take photos of a 17-year-old boy’s erect penis for what he claimed was investigative purposes.
A year before that, he won an award for “integrity in investigative work.”

Dallas Police Speaks With Forked Tongue When it Comes to the Right to Record

In April 2014, the Dallas Police Department’s top-rank leadership made it clear they support the concept of the right to photograph and record in public.
But the department’s Internal Affairs Division, the Dallas Police Association (DPA), and a small but troublesome and aggressive minority of officers on the street have adopted a completely different and opposing position whereby they do all they can to protect officers who interfere with photographers, no matter how damning the evidence.

It’s been more than three months since Georgia cops entered a man’s home unannounced without a warrant, only to kill the dog, shoot the man and shoot a fellow officer before realizing they had entered the wrong home.
But the Georgia Bureau of Investigations said the case is still under investigation with no new developments to announce.

Texas School Resource Cop will not be Disciplined for Grabbing Student by Neck in Viral Video

A Texas school resource police officer was justified in grabbing a 14-year-old boy by the neck and taking him down because he was only trying to keep the teen safe.
That was the consensus from the Round Rock Police Department internal affairs division this week, saying officer Rigo Valles will now be free to work the schools again.
The student, Gyasi Hughes, was suspended for fighting with another student for several days, but Valles was only reassigned to allow the investigation to take place.

Louisiana Police Refuse to Release Public Records Regarding Payroll Scams

For the several months I have followed an unfolding scandal ocuring within the walls of the Louisiana State Police Troop D Headquarters in Lake Charles.
The scandal, involving the upper ranks of Troop D, alleges the padding of payroll hours by troopers which were then approved by their supervisors.
The story has been extensively covered by Tom Aswell, a retired investigative reporter who formerly ran Capitol News Service and reported extensively on Louisiana Politics.

Chicago Police Refuse to Release Video of Police Shooting Because it Could “Inflame the Public”

Cedrick Chatman, a 17-year-old black male, was shot to death by a Chicago police officer in January of 2013.
Now, almost three years later, the city of Chicago refuses to release police video of the incident.
Police claim that Chatman, a carjacking suspect, pointed a dark object at police, making them fear for their lives.
Chatman’s family believes that is a lie.

New York Cop Tries to Intimidate Man from Recording Police in Public

A Port Authority police officer tried to intimidate a man from recording officers trying to pull a man off a bus in New York City Saturday.
But the cop backed off as soon as Nick Hentoff mentioned he was an attorney.
His video shows Port Authority officers’ attempting to remove a passenger from the bus. The passenger appeared dazed. The passenger also fell down as he tried to stand up.
It was then that a officer on scene got off the bus and confronted Hentoff for video recording saying:

South Carolina Cop Pleads Guilty to Aiding Illegal Gambling Operation

Brendan Shea Smith of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office pleaded guilty to misconduct in office on Thursday.
Smith was a Major and the Public Information Officer. Interestingly enough, Smith was third in command of the South Carolina agency.
Smith was in collaboration with Izzat Khalil, the leader of an illegal gambling operation. Over a five year period from June 2008 to December 2013 Smith leaked confidential police information to Khalil regarding police raids on illegal gambling sites, search warrants, and crime informant tips.
