Utah Police Chief Fired For Not Responding to 911 Home Invasion Call of Own Officer

It is one thing for emergency personnel to laugh about a serious 911 call.
But it’s a whole new level when it takes 10 hours to respond to a home invasion call.
That is what happened in Utah when Monticello Police Chief Kent Adair failed to respond to a home invasion call involving his own sergeant.
Now the police chief has been fired as recently as Tuesday; and Cole Young, the sergeant that perpetrated the home invasion, has been arrested on charges of felony aggravated burglary and misdemeanor assault.

San Francisco Police Beat Man for Using Navigation App on Phone While Riding Bike to Deliver Burrito

San Francisco police beat and pepper sprayed a man riding a bicycle, accusing him of texting while riding.
But Donovan Reid said he was only using a navigation app while trying to deliver a burrito for a company called Postmates.
It does not appear as if the burrito ever got delivered because Reid ended up hospitalized.
The incident took place on January 3, but it was only in the last few days that local media began reporting on it.
Reid started recording the traffic stop, but told local media that the cop ordered him to stop.

NYPD Cops Tell Man to Stop Recording Them Writing Him Ticket for Officer Safety

New York City police officers who were writing a disabled man a parking citation ordered him to stop recording for officer safety.
Well, they did tell him he could record all he wants as long as he is able to do it with the phone in his pocket.
“In the time it takes the  officer to write her ticket, you can’t have your phone out,” one cop says as a female officer is writing the man a ticket.
“You can record all you want, but for our safety, you have to put your phone away.”

Denver Cops Shoot Man in Stolen Car, Killing Him, Later Learning Car Was Not Stolen

Denver police shot and killed a man on Monday, telling the media that he was sitting in a stolen car and stepped out brandishing a gun.
Cops fired multiple times, killing Ramone Lonergan, 32, who was listed in the media as the first police shooting fatality of 2016.
Then, days later, Lonegran’s girlfriend came forward and said he had been driving her car and that it was not reported stolen. She also said he was not  involved in any fraud of any kind.

Pennsylvania Town Pays Murdering Cop $120,000 to Go Away

The Pennsylvania cop who shot a man in the back while repeatedly tasering him over an expired inspection sticker, capturing it all on her body cam, only for her to get acquitted last year before vowing to return to the department to continue patrolling the streets, has resigned.
But only because the borough of Hummelstown agreed to pay Lisa Mearkle $120,000.
That’s the price a community of just over 4,500 people has to pay to get rid of the hysterical murdering cop.

Award-Winning NYPD Cop Caught on Video Falsifying Arrest, Accusing Four Men of Holding Him Up at Knifepoint (Updated)

Once again, a New York City police officer was exposed as a liar by surveillance video.
This time, it was an undercover NYPD named Winston McDonald, a 2012 “Cop of the Month” recipient, who claimed four men tried to mug him at knifepoint outside a Brooklyn hardware store last month.
The suspects, however, claim the cop approached them inside a hardware store, flashing money, looking to buy drugs.

Award-Winning Las Vegas Cop Now Facing Federal Charges for Beating Woman who Tossed Coffee Cup on Ground

An award-winning Las Vegas cop who lost his job last year after his body cam showed him attacking a woman suspected of prostitution is now facing federal charges.
The video has not been released but it federal investigators says it shows Richard Scavone handcuffing the woman before grabbing her around the neck and throwing her to the ground, then striking her in the forehead with an open palm and slamming her face against the hood of his car multiple times on January 6, 2015.

LAPD Chief Seeking Criminal Charges Against Cop Who Killed Homeless Man

Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck is asking prosecutors to file charges against an LAPD officer who shot and killed a homeless man last May.
The cop, Clifford Proctor, claims the homeless man, Brandon Glenn, tried to take his gun and his partner’s gun, which is usually all it takes to justify a police shooting.
But Beck has viewed a surveillance video that does not show that.
