What a difference a war makes: ABC news report from 2011 is kind to Bashar al-Assad (VIDEO)

In a recent piece, I commented on how the mainstream media has gone from bad to worse in recent years. This time, I seek to travel to 2011, the year that Libya was transformed from a state which offered the highest living standards in modern African history to a failed state. It was also the year that Hillary Clinton’s state department started agitating for regime change in Syria. This of course ignited the foreign funded conflict that continues in Syria to this day.

Iraq in 2003, Syria today. Similar war crimes, opposite reactions from liberals. (VIDEO)

In 2003, George W. Bush and Anthony Blair sold their illegal war to a frothing mainstream media on the basis that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction (lie), Iraqis wanted the West liberate them from their government (lie…even among Saddam opponents), Iraq was a hotbed of terrorism (outrageous lie) and Iraq directly threatened world stability (insane lie).
Many people who opposed the war and its accompanying lies carried placards with slogans including, ‘No blood for oil’, ‘Not in my name’, ‘Bush lied Iraqis died’ and so on.

WATCH: Russian drone footage shows ISIS destruction of Palmyra’s amphitheatre

Drone footage has confirmed that ISIS has destroyed much of the Hellenic amphitheatre of Palmyra, the location where maestro Valery Gergiev led a concert of Russian musicians for the troops of the Syrian Arab Army, Russian military and civilians who liberated Palmyra from the last ISIS occupation in May of 2016.
Now much of this site has been destroyed by ISIS in the wake of their second occupation of the ancient city.

Russian FM says Donald Trump’s ‘safe zones’ in Syria are possible

Many people claimed that Donald Trump’s proposals for so-called ‘safe zones’ in Syria for internally displaced people, would drive an insurmountable wedge between the US and Russia on Syria.
The idea of setting up special areas, effective ‘quarantine zones’ for the displaced, needn’t imply a no-fly zone nor the bifurcation of Syrian territory. If it did – the proposals would not only be an impossibility, but would be very dangerous if someone tried to implement them. But as it were, Trump seems not to be clutching at those dangerous straws.
