Trump’s tariffs threaten 200k jobs, senators say

The Trump administration is intent upon following its course of action to the end no matter the cost. The promises Trump made on his campaign trail seem to be a large part of his guiding light as he navigates his tenure.
A part those commitments was that of bringing manufacturing jobs back to America, cutting the trade deficit, and putting America into a more equitable position on trade matters, if not, perhaps, even in a position that puts America in a competitively advantageous position.

Britain in panic as Trump-Putin summit looms

Days after I discussed rumours of an imminent Trump-Putin summit, seeming confirmation that such a summit is indeed in the works has been provided with the Kremlin’s confirmation that President Trump’s National Security Adviser John Bolton is travelling to Moscow next week apparently to discuss preparations for the summit.
The Kremlin’s confirmation of John Bolton’s visit was given today by President Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov

EU’s countermeasures to Trump’s metals tariffs to come into effect Friday

In response to US president Donald Trump’s metals tariffs, which by this point require no introduction, the European Union is following through on implementing their countermeasures to tariffs being encountered coming out of Washington DC, with those countermeasures slated to come into effect on Friday.
The EU joins many of America’s other major trade partners in responding with tit-for-tat measures as Trump ramps up what could amount to a global trade war.

Most Chinese say US should assume responsibility for migrant crisis

Over 97% of Chinese agree that the US is largely responsible for the migrant crises that have led to tens of millions of people being displaced, adding that they don’t believe that China should feel obligated to solve crises which other nations have created.
Almost all of the Chinese citizens who were polled on the matter of taking in migrants answered with the perspective that America made these messes, now they can take responsibility for them.

BREAKING: Trump signs executive order to keep immigrant families together (VIDEO)

The latest battle in the media vs. Trump war has been underway for a while now, with news outlets and social media presenting wall-to-wall discussions of America’s immigration policies, and the Trump administration’s implementation of those policies.
President Donald Trump made a decisive move today, signing an executive order that puts an end to immigrant family separations, which should be a win for him in the public eye, but it remains to be seen how that will all shake out.

Watch Trey Gowdy BLAST the claim of “no bias” at FBI

Representative Trey Gowdy took the IG document summary out to the woodshed on Tuesday. He had good reason to do this. Once again, the FBI tried subtly to circle the wagons around itself.
The 568 page Inspector General Report on the matter of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server to transmit and receive classified government e-mails made several noteworthy claims that showed massive problems in the investigation. However the summary document claimed that there was “no evidence of bias” in the investigation.

Russia to impose countermeasures to Trump’s metals tariffs

Russia’s Economic Development Minister, Maksim Oreshkin, has announced that Moscow is preparing a list of goods imported from the USA to be targets of countermeasures designed to respond to Trump’s metals tariffs. The goods to be targeted are to be those which possess a domestically produced alternative, and the economic impact is estimated to meet that which is levied against Russia.
RT reports:

How will Russia and Iran respond to the US challenge in the Caspian Sea?

On May 5 2018 Kazakhstan ratified an agreement with the US for the transit of US military cargo and possibly even troops (under the euphemism of ‘advisors’ or ‘engineers’) to Afghanistan via the Caspian Sea route.
The ostensible reason is that the US’s long established supply lines to Afghanistan via Pakistan are now ‘under threat’.  However, as is often the case nowadays, the reality is rather more complicated.
