The July 1st referendum, or election, regarding the approval of the Russian Constitutional reform, has come and gone. It yielded interesting results, though, thank God, it yielded the right ones for the nation. Overall, a very strong majority, 77.92% of the voters approved the changes, and 21.27 opposed them. The voter turnout is understood to be moderately high by Russian standards, with some 65% of citizens voting in the extended time period made available by early voting.

TASS, the Russian News Agency, reports that Russia’s presence is both valued and desired at the upcoming G7 meeting. Last week, US President Donald Trump informed that the G7 summit set to take place in the USA would be moved from late June to September, adding that he plans to invite Russia, South Korea, Australia and India. The American president noted particularly that it is important for Russia to have a presence at the meeting, that this would be a great help to the work done there.

This situation is of course, not limited to Orthodoxy, as almost every church congregation throughout the land has acquiesced to the “experts” who insist that this virus is somehow more powerful than God, or are at least distracted by the secularist gosepl: “nothing is more important than your health” and its underlying premise: “there is no life beyond this one. Do the American people gain more than we lose from supporting (and from having billions of our tax-dollars each year donated to) the apartheid and racistly Jewish Israel against the Palestinians — the descendants of the Arabs who prior to Israel’s creation were the vast majority of that land’s population?

This story has been brewing for several weeks. We saw a few weeks ago how Michigan’s governor Whitmer imposed excessive and ludicrous guidelines on her citizens in the name of “keeping them safe” from the spread of the Chinese coronavirus. New York, California and New Jersey are among the nation’s most restrictive and most irrationally-run states when it comes to dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the facts we are outlining in this Christianity versus Socialism series, we are faced with the fact that there are a great many people – even Orthodox Christians – who ascribe to a philosophical point of view that is not Christianity at all, but socialism. Telltale signs of this include the belief in the notion that rich people should not be so rich, that their ‘excessive wealth’ is sinful and that money ought to be distributed among the people who are not wealthy.

In a newsfeed I receive from Ayatollah Khameini, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, I saw this interesting post. It would appear that the Ayatollah likes socialism. He presumed, amazingly, to offer some advice to Americans about their capitalist government:
