The Democratic Party’s electoral strategy of impeaching Donald Trump is backfiring.

But Pelosi says he's not worth the trouble-- and the divisiveness-- an impeachment would stir up. One of the first Democrats to introduce an impeachment resolution was Texas Democrat Al Green. He's listened to Pelosi's arguments-- and isn't persuaded.

 WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Al Green, a Houston Democrat, announced Wednesday he would begin proceedings to impeach President Donald Trump.
“There is a desire … to see articles brought so the president can answer for obstruction of justice,” Green told reporters.

U.S. Rep. Al Green, D-Houston, Saturday revealed several racist and threatening voicemails — some saying the black congressman should be lynched — in reaction to Green’s recent call to impeach President Donald Trump.
Green played two of the messages at a Saturday town hall in Houston, per a video on his Facebook page. In each voicemail, the caller referred to him as the n-word and called for his hanging.

Green who is not related to the soul singer who bears the same name, justified his position, saying that Donald Trump is guilty of ‘objection of justice’ in respect of the recent firing of former FBI director James Comey.
