The George Floyd saga has developed a potentially dangerous new turn. This past weekend, the city of Louisville, Kentucky avoided a potentially deadly armed clash, as two opposing and heavily armed militia groups came within dozens of yards of each other after the latest politically-charged Black Lives Matter demonstration.

Trump Commutes Sentence of Roger Stone, Says Trial Was Based on a ‘Hoax’

Last night President Donald Trump commuted the sentence of former advisor Roger Stone. 
Stone was due to report to prison to serve 40 months for process crimes relating to the collapsed Mueller probe into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US election.
The White House confirmed that Stone’s sentence would be commuted  and added that he was a victim of the Democrat Party and Intelligence Community’s long-running Russiagate “hoax.”

Supreme Court Says NY Grand Jury Can Have Trump’s Tax Returns

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld a New York grand jury subpoena to get the President’s tax returns and other financial records, rejecting previous White House calls for presidential immunity from a criminal investigation whilst serving in office.
It was a 7-2 decision with the court ruling, with Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas dissenting.
As it turned out, the two justices which Trump appointed, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, both voted against him.

Why Democrats Don’t Want Joe Biden to Debate President Trump

According to famed neoliberal New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, Joe Biden should be kept away from any Presidential debates with Donald Trump unless various conditions can be met. He explains:
“I worry about Joe Biden debating Donald Trump. He should do it only under two conditions. Otherwise, he’s giving Trump unfair advantages.”
Friedman has also excused the 77 year-old Biden’s conspicuous disappearance from public life as due to coronavirus:

REVEALED: New Coronavirus Relief Bill is Political Power-play by Democratic Party

This week, the US House voted in a virtual whip line 208 to 199, to pass the third Coronavirus Relief Bill, this time totaling some $3 Trillion. The bill represents yet another round of direct cash payments for Americans, and unemployment benefits to the end of January, hazard pay for front-line workers, virus-testing efforts, contact tracing and money treatment.
