The widely held belief that having celebrity endorsements are a key to electoral success came into question again following these 2018 Midterm Elections.
Undoubtedly, 2018 saw one of the most hotly contested Midterm contests in living memory. As the final returns trickled in this morning, it seems that ‘check and balances’ have returned to Washington, sort of.
More than any other US Midterm Election in living memory, this contest is being billed as a referendum on the incumbent president, Donald J. Trump. At present, the country is polarized – split right down the middle, but POTUS is making some unexpected inroads. With all of the negative campaigning though, few commentators are able to articulate why this is happening.
As the 2018 US Midterms commence this week, it’s worth dusting off this legacy rant by Sunday Wire host Patrick Henningsen who attempts to inject a dose of common sense to try and alleviate America’s chronic “Russia Hacking” (and ‘Russian Meddling’, ‘Russian Interference’, ‘Russian Influence’, ‘Russian Collusion’ et al) condition, exposing it as the Shakespearean tragic-comedy that it truly is, and facing up up the cold reality that Hillary Rodham Clinton may well have run the worse presidential campaign in US history. Can you blame the Russians for that?
With America’s 2018 Midterm Elections around the corner, CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post and other mainstream outlets are on a rabid hunt for any possible evidence of ‘Russian interference.’ Remember: if you see something, say something…
