Rubio and Cruz have competed for the title of "most homophobic" in the Republican primary season. Rubio has a problem-- not just because of the high heeled booties, but because he was arrested when he was 19 in a closed Coconut Grove park that was frequently (exclusively) by elderly gay johns looking for gay-for-pay teenage men-- and Cruiz is winning this one.
In 2008, the very same NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showing Cruz catching up to Herr Trumpf predicted Hillary was catching up to Obama a few days before the primary-- when he beat her 295,091 (55.4%) to 141,128 (26.7), with 93,552 votes (17.6%) going to next door neighbor John Edwards
Jeb's campaign has long since crashed and burned but there was a time when he seemed as inevitable as Hillary (was). All the pundits expected a Clinton-Bush redux. Back at the end of 2014, a poll from CNN showed Jeb with a gigantic lead-- 23%, with Christie, Carson, Huckabee, Paul, Rubio, Ryan and Cruz trailing-- with the kind of numbers Jeb has today.
A friend of mine-- a wise friend of mine-- told me she thinks Bernie's going to win the primary in a walk... but will lose to Trumpf, Cruz or Rubio because the Clintons will utterly destroy the Democratic Party, just as their dear friend Trumpf is destroying the Republican Party. Interesting proposition. The constitution purposely left out any mention of parties and the Founding Fathers were disdainful of their influence. Today we can see why; neither party deserves to exist.
Sunday after the hate-filled GOP debate in South Carolina, establishment Republicans, led by neocon sad sack Bill Kristol were all over the Twitter Machine claiming that no "reasonable" or "responsible" Democrat had gone as far as Herr Trumpf in calling out Bush/Cheney for lying us into the catastrophic Iraq War. Well, that's totally false.
Last night the RNC seems to have limited the audience to Rubio and Cruz fans. Herr Trumpf was thoroughly boo-ed whenever he opened his mouth. I wonder if Priebus got his ideas about who to admit to the debate audience from Wasserman Schultz. The Rubio and Cruz fans also booed each other during the immigration cat fight. Trumpf kept calling Cruz a liar... in fact, eventually, they all started calling each other liars.
Don't say Herr Trumpf didn't warn you. In a rare moment of self-awareness, he described himself to a bunch of entertainment-starved hicks in Iowa as a "very greedy person... Now, I’ll tell you, I’m good at that-- so, you know, I’ve always taken in money. I like money. I’m very greedy. I’m a greedy person. I shouldn’t tell you that, I’m a greedy-- I’ve always been greedy. I love money, right?" Cruz wanted to make sure South Carolina voters knew about it too...
Not even Herr Trumpf calling Cruz a "pussy" tonight at a rally in Manchester-- for not being as gung-ho as he should be about torturing people-- could knock the Rubio robot out of the news. But no one could have gotten more of a hard-on from Rubio's agony at the hands of Chris Christie Saturday night than Paul Ryan.
Illinois Republican Aaron Schock hasn't announced if he's reached a final agreement with TitanMen for his new gay porn career. I bet the million dollars they're negotiating is a lot more than sweaty little Marco Rubio was ever offered by the down-market Miami Cuban gay porn operators he got involved with when he was a teenager.
