With recent victories along the southern front, and with the Syrian Arab Army taking full control of the main border crossing with Jordan, it’s only a matter of time before Damascus forces will liberate the remaining terrorist-held pockets, before finally forcing the illegally occupying US forces in the northeast to move off, as well as preparing for the liberation of the last fully terrorist-held province, Idlib.

By Gareth Porter | 38 North | July 26, 2018 Since the June 12 Singapore Summit between US President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the US media has woven a misleading narrative that both past and post-summit North Korean actions indicate an intent to deceive the US about its willingness to denuclearize. […]
After college, I spent a couple years on the "Hippie Trail," the overland route from London to New Delhi and Kathmandu. There were places, primarily in western Turkey and eastern Iran where the idea of "road" was theoretical. But overall, a few hundred of us made it through every year from the late '50s into the mid '70s.
Here it is – my short film about North Korea. No need to drag it, to prolong it – let’s just watch it all together: This is my 25-minutes piece about the DPRK (North Korea) – country that I visited relatively recently; visited and loved, was impressed with, and let me be frank – admired. I don’t really know if[Read More...]
Following the reception of the final components to the Russian S-400 SAM system, China’s People’s Liberation Army is preparing to carry out initial trials of its first such regimental system against a simulated ballistic target at a Chinese firing range. Shipments of S-400 components have been ongoing since April. Under the deal, China will receive two S-400 regiments at a cost of about $3 billion. The next shipment should be accomplished by the year’s end.

Capitalism doesn't determine anything about what's valuable or valued. Capitalism is only a communication system that relays information about realities that are always there. Resources are scarce. People value different things. People want to satisfy their desires. Those are unavoidable realities under any system.
Saudi Arabia plays a huge role in today’s chaotic and crisis-riddled geo-policy. It’s a country that simply does not get enough attention in the press outside oil revenues. Here is a partial remedy to this unfair situation. Here’s a look at one of a major practitioner of global chaos.

Europe’s highest court ruled July 25 that crops edited with CRISPR technology should face the same tough scrutiny as conventional genetically modified (GM) organisms. [1]
The decision, handed down by the Court of Justice of the European Union (ECJ), is a blow to many scientists and other proponents of gene-editing who had hoped that gene-editing technologies such as CRISPR-Cas9 would be exempted from existing European law limiting the planting and sale of GM crops.
"In Taiwan, the subway stations are large and barren. There is nothing there. They feel cold and dead. You wind your way through a labyrinth to get to your train and see nothing but signs with rules and other people hustle to get out of the train station. It feels like they were created for a dystopian novel.

French President Emmanuel Macron, on his first official visit to Spain, together with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, expressed their doubts about the trade deal reached in Washington D.C. between US President Donald Trump and EU Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker.
2010 was an anti-blue wave, just as 2018 is shaping up to be an anti-red wave. No doubt a failed clown like Ben Ray Lujan will try to "modestly" take credit for the great Democratic wins in November, regardless of the indisputable fact that there would be more wins if he was put into hibernation until November 9. The Republican who was in his place in 2010 was Pete Sessions, the corrupt and sleazy NRCC chairman from Texas.
This policy goes beyond weapons deals to encompass economic issues. Forget about the international rules stipulated by the UN Charter and WTO documents — “arms-twisting” has become an element of US foreign policy.
hese are some of the latest results coming from YouGov about the state of politics in Britain. Public sentiment is driven by the biggest post-war decision the country has made – Brexit – and it is now going very, very badly indeed. Much worse than anticipated.
According to a poll conducted by YouGov for The Sunday Times newspaper, the British public overwhelmingly oppose UK Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit negotiations with her EU partners.
To make matters even worse for a failing May, the poll also showed that more than a third of voters would support a new right-wing political party committed to quitting the European Union.

Iranian “regime change” is not the publicly stated goal of the Trump Administration’s policy. We can hope that Trump will decide on his next steps with regard to Iran based on much broader international considerations that impact his domestic goals.
Since China, Russia, India, and Brazil held the first BRIC summit in 2009, South Africa has been added to the club, and China's influence on the world stage and within the group has grown immensely. But even as China continues to set the group's agenda, the other BRICS have an important role to play in reforming the global order.
Hard Brexit will inevitably mean the worst economic crisis in British history, a collapse of even basic food imports and the rapid departure of Scotland and Northern Ireland from the irreparably Dis-United Kingdom. Brexit dooms Britain to disintegration, crisis and ruin.

by Noah Smells Like AssSince Saturday Night Date Night is upon us, you may want to consider this fabulous product. At first, I thought it might be fake, but then I noticed that 'Colusion' is misspelled, just like Señor Trumpanzee spells it. So, it must be real. But I doubt it's really a Ralph Lauren product. I bet it's really 'Colusion' by Ivanka.
