The U.S. President has a public response to his country’s being the only one that has over a million cases and over 62,000 deaths from Covid-19 when every other country has fewer than 250,000 cases and fewer than 30,000 deaths: he demonizes China’s Government, and is now publicly preparing to seek trillions of dollars in compensation from it for damages from the coronavirus-19. On April 30th, CNN reiterated this response from him by headlining “Trump contradicts US intel community by claiming he’s seen evidence coronavirus originated in Chinese lab”, and the New York Times bannered “Trump Officials Are Said to Press Spies to Link Virus and Wuhan Labs”, though earlier on this same day, the Director of National Intelligence had issued a public statement, representing “the Intelligence Community” and saying that, “The Intelligence Community also concurs with the wide scientific consensus that the COVID-19 virus was not manmade or genetically modified.” That statement meant: this virus hadn’t been produced in any military lab, anywhere. Unlike in 2003, when the head of the CIA privately told the U.S. President that proving Saddam Hussein’s WMD and complicity in 9/11 would be a “slam-dunk,” America’s Deep State — which controls the nation’s Intelligence Community and Congress in both Parties — is now disunited, not united behind the President, about bringing the nation to war, this time against China, instead of against Iraq. Under this President, there is actually a partisan Democratic-Republican split, within the Deep State (the country’s controlling billionaires).
China, of course, is probably where the virus first appeared (in December 2019). Though its population is 1.4 billion, America’s is only 330 million, and yet China has reported Covid-19 cases to be still remaining below 83,000 and stabilized (growing at around 50 cases per day since March 29th), whereas America’s cases are still rising (at more than 20,000 per day since March 29th), so that America has now experienced a solid month of cases rising at over 20,000 new ones per day, compared to China’s 50 per day. China first reached 80,000 cases on March 1st; so, by that time, the ferocity of this contagion was well known to all scientifically inclined individuals, and could not reasonably be denied by any head-of-state. But some, such as Trump, did deny it.
China also is the world’s second-largest economy, after only the United States, and America’s President had entered office promising action against China in order to keep America “#1.” So, his blaming China has been part of his Presidency since even before his Presidency even began. Of course, President G.W. Bush had likewise blamed Iraq since prior to even becoming the U.S. President, but he enjoyed the solid support of the U.S. intelligence community, which President Trump does not, and has not.
America’s current President, furthermore, has become famous for blaming others for his own failures, which certainly include his performance (among the world’s worst) during the coronavirus-19 challenge; and his response to the Covid-19 (or coronavirus-19) challenge has consistently reflected his blaming-of-others whenever he is himself clearly at some fault in a given matter.
What, then, are the actual merits of his laying the blame upon China, in this particular matter?
First of all, is a nation’s Government to be blamed for a global pandemic’s having had its first reported case of it appear in that country? Would that suffice, in order for China to be blamed for this?
If the reason that the first reported case of it, was in China, reflects a distinctive — a totally unique — feature of that given nation’s government, then, there might possibly be just cause to blame that government, for the given phenomenon. Amongst the U.S. President’s alleged or implied and propagandized reasons why China is to blame, in this particular matter, is that the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases at the Wuhan Institute of Virology discovered the virus. Its Director promptly reported it to China’s Government, though the extent of this virus’s threat of producing an epidemic — far less its yet having been established to be one that cannot be controlled — wasn’t yet known, and therefore the Government was at first more concerned to contain and halt its spread than to alarm all of China and the world, until this virus’s ferocity became clearly manifest, undeniable. But by no later than February 15th, it became already clear that this contagion was an epidemic, which would spread worldwide and be uncontrollable.
When the first U.S. case of this virus was reported, on January 20th, the infection’s ferocity wasn’t yet already known. China’s official count started on January 22nd and was 571 cases, as being the total up till that time. By February 15th there were already 68,500 cases in China’s official count, and there were already 1,665 deaths from coronavirus-19 in China; so, by that time, anyone should have known to be alarmed, because this rapid climb in the numbers had been published to every government. But here were some of Trump’s actual public statements about the matter:
Feb. 19: “I think it’s going to work out fine. I think when we get into April, in the warmer weather, that has a very negative effect on that and that type of a virus. So let’s see what happens, but I think it’s going to work out fine.”
Feb. 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.
Feb. 26: “Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low.
Feb. 27: “Only a very small number in U.S., & China numbers look to be going down [The number of new cases in China that day had declined to 327; so, this statement by Trump was correct.]. All countries working well together!”
Feb. 28: “It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”
Feb. 29: “We’re the number one travel destination anywhere in the world, yet we have far fewer cases of the disease than even countries with much less travel or a much smaller population.”
March 4: “Some people will have this at a very light level and won’t even go to a doctor or hospital, and they’ll get better. There are many people like that.”
March 9: “The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant. Surgeon General, ‘The risk is low to the average American.’ ”
Clearly, Trump was trying to calm the American people about the coronavirus matter, not to lead his nation to minimize the epidemic. Soon, he was very much on the defensive about that fact. By March 9th, there were 704 reported cases in the U.S. By January 23rd — the second day of China’s official counting — there had been 830 cases, an increase of 259 from the January 22nd count. On March 10th, there were a total of 994 cases reported in the U.S., a 41% increase from the March 9th count. But Trump simply continued his Norman Vincent Peale “power of positive thinking” assertions:
March 10: “And it hit the world. And we’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.”
March 11: “I think we’re going to get through it very well.”
The most severe of the alleged accounts which are blaming China’s Government are ones which allege not that China is to blame because the infection started there, but instead that that lab in Wuhan is a Chinese Government biological-warfare lab. No evidence has been offered that this is actually the case, but some of the U.S. regime’s propaganda-agencies (the ones which support this President) nonetheless do allege it. If that allegation is true, then, obviously, such a source for the virus would indeed be an illegal source, because there are no legal biological-warfare labs — biological-warfare weapons are internationally outlawed. Furthermore, China signed and ratified this document on 15 November 1984. (The other two major powers had previously done so: U.S. on 26 March 1975, and Russia also on 26 March 1975.) Consequently, in that case, there would be at least a possible legal ground for the U.S. regime to blame China’s Government.
However, still, such a case would be unlikely to be brought by the U.S. regime, since doing that would open up to the world’s aghast attention the long-suppressed historical fact that the U.S. regime itself had been the originator of the entire concept that maybe an infectious disease would be able to be useful as a military weapon. The U.S. regime actually tried this profoundly evil idea in its military invasions in 1952, and that effort failed. The 764-page “REPORT OF THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC COMMISSION FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF THE FACTS CONCERNING BACTERIOLOGICAL WARFARE IN KOREA AND CHINA” is summarized and its background described here. There are many ways that the U.S. regime hides it from the public, such as here and here. That’s a cat-and-mouse game, with the regime trying to kill history of the most ghastly types of international war-crimes having been perpetrated by its own leaders. America’s President (Commander-inChief) Dwight David Eisenhower was the principal guilty party — perpetrating it starting within just three months of becoming President, and then, thereafter, overseeing the denial and cover-up of it. However, the only nations where the U.S. regime’s effort to sue China for the U.S. regime’s having been doing perhaps what is the world’s worst job of protecting its own population against the coronavirus-19 plague, are the U.S. regime’s own vassal nations or ‘allies’, and the only actual purpose which would be served by doing that is to drive the world’s markets even further into separation than they already are being driven by Trump. That would be a World War III preparation, in order to produce two entirely separate and increasingly warring-against-each-other economic blocs. The U.S. has already been preparing for this by now spending annually around half of the entire world’s military expenditures (that fact, too, being effectively hidden and misrepresented by the regime and its various fronts).
Be that as it may, the very idea that a viral plague can effectively be used as a military weapon is so stupid that it is insane, and the very allegation of it is an insult to the public’s intelligence, because a plague, by its very nature, is one of the most uncontrollable (if not the most uncontrollable) phenomena in the entire world. To publicize the possibility of that (i.e., to publicize the impossible possibility that a plague could be useful as a military weapon), is, itself, a nullifying discredit against any ‘news’ medium that proposes such a possibility without simultaneously explaining precisely how a viral plague could possibly be controlled sufficiently for it to be able to serve predictably and effectively in a military capacity. No uncontrollable plague can be targeted, and no such untargetable and uncontainable ‘weapon’ can possibly serve as a weapon of war — not by China, not by any nation. (It failed when the U.S. tried it in 1952 because the bacteria weren’t quite as contagious and as deadly as Ike hoped, but nowadays some viruses are but can’t be assuredly contained within only the target nation’s borders; and coronavirus-19 certainly is in that latter category.)
The fact that it is insane doesn’t mean, however, that the U.S. isn’t still developing such ‘weapons’: it is. Whitney Webb headlined on 20 January 2020, “Bats, Gene Editing and Bioweapons: Recent DARPA Experiments.” Even before that, Dilyana Gaytandzhieva bannered on 20 September 2018, “‘Diplomatic Immunity’ Used to Traffick Human Blood and Pathogens for Secret Military Program” and discussed “the many Pentagon biolaboratories in 25 countries across the world. They are funded by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) under a $ 2.1 billion military program – Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP), and are located in former Soviet Union countries such as Georgia and Ukraine, the Middle East, South East Asia and Africa.” The U.S. Government leads the world in insanity. After all, “America Accounts for About Half of World’s Military Spending.” This is what happens when the owners of the military-industrial complex control the government.
As regards other, less incredible, allegations by the U.S. regime that China’s Government should be held responsible for the coronavirus-19 plague, those allegations against China’s Government allege it to be incompetent. However, what is the reasonable justification for maintaining that China’s Government should be sued for incompetence in this matter if governments such as that of the U.S. are bringing the suit and are themselves clearly and virtually universally recognized as being extraordinarily incompetent and failing in their own responses to the coronavirus-19 challenge?
The shamelessness of the U.S. regime, for its having perpetrated invasions and coups on the basis of lies such as in 1953 Iran, 1954 Guatemala, 2003 Iraq, 2014 Ukraine, and many other cases, is now about to be displayed yet again in regards to its handling of the coronavirus crisis. Since the United States has entered its phase as a declining instead of a still-rising power in the world, the day may be near at hand when its leaders will become themselves held internationally to account for the outrageous and carefully planned evils that they have been perpetrating upon the world — soon to include perhaps their blaming China for something that the U.S. itself had actually done in 1952 using germs instead of viruses, after a massive use of napalm to destroy North Korea had failed to win the Korean War for the U.S. dictators (America’s controlling stockholders of U.S. international corporations). America’s destruction of the then-budding democracies in Iran 1953 and Guatemala 1954 (and Chile 1973, and many others) weren’t mere anomalies, but instead the imperialistic character of post-WW-II America. And similar U.S. international atrocities continue to be perpetrated, right up till today. But, fortunately, unlike in 2003, America’s billionaires aren’t united about whether to try doing this against China. This time, America’s President seems to be leading not an entire aristocracy, but merely a faction of that aristocracy. If he will press for the charge, there will be considerable internal resistance.
