21st Century Wire says…
Is the Kremlin really responsible for ‘hacking the US election’?
Last night, in an RT Exclusive, WikiLeaks founder and editor Julian Assange (pictured above) came out and categorically denied that US Democratic Party and Clinton campaign staff emails released this year have come via the Russian government.
“Hillary Clinton has stated multiple times, falsely, that 17 US intelligence agencies had assessed that Russia was the source of our publications. That’s false – we can say that the Russian government is not the source,” Assange told award-winning international journalist John Pilger.
Earlier in the week on Tuesday, 21WIRE’s Patrick Henningsen arrived at that same conclusion stating:
“The longer this soap opera drags on, it’s becoming more and more evident that the Russian government did not ‘hack’ into the DNC, and Moscow is not feeding John Podesta’s emails to Wikileaks. For those who are deeply invested in this now official conspiracy theory, this might be a hard pill to swallow.”
Has Hillary lost the plot?
The Homeland Security Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) posted a joint statement in October, claiming they were “confident” that the Russian government “directed” this year’s leaks.
Washington injected the Russian conspiracy theory into the election cycle not once, but twice – first in the summer after the devastating DNC Leaks which resulted in the resignation of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, and again two weeks ago from the ODNI.
Henningsen also noted that the in every instance, America’s corporate mainstream media refused to challenge the government and Clinton’s wild accusation:
“Both Obama Administration announcements were nothing more than dog whistles for Democrats and ‘journalists’ working for hopelessly partisan outlets like New York Times and CNN – none of whom have bothered to press the White House for one ounce of evidence pertaining to the Party’s decree that ‘Russia is hacking the US election process.'”
Assange followed on with a scathing indictment of Clinton, saying:
“The Clinton camp has been able to project a neo-McCarthyist hysteria that Russia is responsible for everything.”
“I actually feel quite sorry for Hillary Clinton as a person, because I see someone who is eaten alive by their ambitions, tormented literally to the point where they become sick – for example faint – as a result of going on, and going with their ambitions. But she represents a whole network of people, and a whole network of relationships with particular states.”
One of the most embarrassing hysterical outbursts came from Democratic Party operative and lifetime Clinton surrogate, James Carville, who claimed “the KGB” working with Republicans to “hijack the election”. Watch Carville’s meltdown:
.
In 2016, WikiLeaks has released over 30,000 emails from Hillary Clinton’s private email server – including the now infamous Podesta email dump, as well as 20,000 emails from the DNC, exposing how the Democratic Party party actively undermined the campaign of Clinton party rival Bernie Sanders during the primaries.
The 25-minute John Pilger Special will air on RT International this Saturday.
