Hope you’ve been catching all the posts this past week, cause we’re looking back in order to discuss the news regarding the Security Council Meeting taking place today!(started this post very early this morning and am now finishing up!)2:30 pm estSyrian Army Makes Gains in Aleppo as Security Council Meets
Syrian government troops advanced gradually against rebels inside ravaged second city Aleppo on Friday, as the UN Security Council prepared to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the violence.
It is these advances in the city that have the de Mistura and cronies in such a tizzy- The air campaign has slowed already, since SAA has been on the move through the terrorist occupied portion of Aleppo.
The assault on rebel-held districts of the divided city has raised international concern, with UN envoy Staffan de Mistura warning east Aleppo could be “totally destroyed” by year’s end.
Fierce fighting rocked several districts of the city, which has been divided between government control in the west and rebel control in the east since 2012.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said government forces captured a hilltop in the Sheikh Saeed district in the south of the city, but the rebels retook other parts of the neighborhood previously captured by the regime.
The Britain-based monitoring group also reported clashes in the Salaheddin, Bustan al-Basha and Suleiman al-Halabi neighborhoods on the city’s front line.
Recall this post from the other day? UN Official Calls for Security Council Veto Limit to Allow NATO a Freehand in Global Terror Reign
“U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein has called for limits on the use of the veto power by the U.N. Security Council's five permanent members to halt the tragedy unfolding in east Aleppo in northern Syria.
"The U.N. Security Council, in particular, should without any further delay, adopt criteria to restrain members from using the veto when there are serious concerns [that] war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide may have been committed."
Hence all the spin this past week concerning Aleppo.Headline after headline all really, really over the top! I’m not posting anymore of them because no one could have possibly missed them all. One topic of spin was mentioned in an earlier post: Did The UN Truly Confirm Aleppo Aid Convoy Attack Was an Air Strike? No!The NATO tyranny wants to give an air of legitimacy to their wanton destruction/balkanization of Syria, by presenting it wrapped in a shiny, happy, shimmering paper of approval, provided to them via a UN resolution. There is to be another Security Council Meeting today.I read two points being bandied about already mentioned above. NATO/Israel's thugs are in trouble. And Syria looks to be succeeding in taking back Aleppo from it's terrorist occupiers. Should Syria take Aleppo back a death blow will be dealt to the NATO middle east remakers- That's how significant this win is for Syria. Making it an equally significant loss for NATO/Israel. And that is the only reason we keep hearing and reading Aleppo- Go back to January 16/ 2016 and this post:
Syrian Endgame Could Begin in Aleppo- Who Would Block This Pivotal Win?
"The tide may be turning. If the Syrian army, backed by its Iranian and Russian allies, retakes Aleppo, the city’s liberation will come by directly defeating terrorists and armed groups that are already deserting the battlefield. A government victory would be of a different order and have a different impact than the negotiated departures of besieged armed opposition forces in Homs and around Damascus. The people of Aleppo would experience a flat-out victory by the government and a defeat, and exodus, by the armed groups.
A Syrian government victory in Aleppo could be the beginning of the end of the sectarian mindset that would have been alien to the city prior to 2011. There is no more appropriate city to begin Syria’s healing. A Syrian government victory in Aleppo will make it harder to rationalize Western backing for jihadi groups who want to keep up the fight against long odds in the rest of the country"
Security Council to Meet Today: First I want to get this thought off my chest! Concerning De Mistura’s incredible offer to accompany terrorists out of Aleppo! And I do mean an incredible, unbelievable, repulsive, disgusting offer - This man will walk alongside, rapists, murderers and terrorists to ensure they get out of situation, that clearly they were never supposed to find themselves in, without repercussion for their abhorrent behaviour. If that isn’t blatant support of terrorism, sanctioned by the UN and the US, I wouldn’t know how else to describe it! That said, it was also.. all for the show! Drama.
De Mistura “If you decide to leave with dignity… I am personally ready to physically accompany you,” he said.
Hope you all realized just how disgraceful de Mistura's offer really is. It's appalling!Public Relations: legitimize the illegitimateAnother topic of discussion at the Security Council is a push to create a no fly zone over Aleppo for ‘humanitarian reasons’ of course-
Security Council members were discussing a French-drafted UN resolution calling for a ceasefire in Aleppo. After holding talks in Moscow on the proposal, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault will head to Washington on Friday to discuss the measure, which calls for ending all flights over Aleppo.
French Ambassador Francois Delattre told reporters that “we have a strong determination to go to a vote” on the draft resolution, which could lead Russia to use its veto power as a permanent member of the council.
As you’ve read in the previous post, first link, the so called UN Human Rights Commissioner wants the Security Council to adopt criteria in order to restrain members from using their veto, when claimed, by the West, war crimes etc., are being committed.
"The U.N. Security Council, in particular, should without any further delay, adopt criteria to restrain members from using the veto when there are serious concerns [that] war crimes, crimes against humanity or genocide may have been committed."
How this criteria will be adopted, is anyone’s guess? If Russia vetos the no fly over Aleppo resolution, they will be demonized, ostracized and quite possibly their veto will be ignored , so Stefan de Mistura can walk NATO's killers to safety A no fly zone over Aleppo, Syria is complete theatre of the absurd! Aleppo is Syrian territory occupied by terrorists that Syria has an absolute right to clear out. If a robber, killer, rapist came into my house- I'd clear the b@st@rd out by any means possible!Russia is obviously aware, as any sane person is, that the US/France is provoking Russia. At every turn.UPDATE: 2:52 est- Russian envoy: Real goal of UNSC resolution on Aleppo is to provoke Russia to veto it
UNITED NATIONS, October 7. /TASS/. Russia cannot admit endorsement of the French-authored draft resolution on Aleppo in its current form, the Russian ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin told reporters on Friday. The diplomat assumed that the real objective of the document was to make Russia use its right to veto even though the French diplomats assured him initially they did not have any such intentions."I don’t see how we could possibly admit adoption of that resolution," he said.
Black is White/ White is Black.A bit more: Russia will call on the Syrian government to let the al Nusra terrorists leave Aleppo
Oct 7 Russia is ready to call on Syria's government to allow Nusra fighters to retreat from the city of Aleppo with weapons in their hands, RIA news agency quoted Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying on Friday.
As Kerry ratchets up the spin-
"Russia and the regime owe the world more than an explanation about why they keep hitting hospitals and medical facilities and children and women," he said in remarks Friday ahead of a meeting with France's foreign minister. "These are acts that beg for an appropriate investigation of war crimes."
How this man utters these words with a straight face is beyond my comprehension! From late yesterday:
