Jen Briney hosts the podcast Congressional Dish, and shares the actual content of legislation with her listeners. Her fact-finding is augmented by appropriate skepticism and the jaundiced eye of an observer of corruption in Washington. In particular, we discuss her observations on the recently-passed USA Freedom Act, which is sold as major “reform” of domestic surveillance but led former NSA boss Michael Hayden to brag that spying has not been curtailed since the Snowden disclosures.
