Ukraine, NATO legalize cooperation to reform army
KYIV: Agreement on support cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation was signed at the NATO headquarters.
According to the Mission of Ukraine to the NATO, the document was signed by Head of the Mission of Ukraine to the NATO, Ambassador Ihor Dolhov and General Manager of the NATO Support and Procurement Organisation Mike Lyden.
The signing of this international agreement creates legal frameworks for practical cooperation within the trust funds specially created by the Alliance for Ukraine to reform logistics and standardization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and physical rehabilitation of soldiers wounded during anti-terrorist operation in Donetsk and Luhansk.
In addition, the signed agreement opens opportunities for Ukraine’s participation in the economically profitable project of the Alliance on logistic maintenance of armies, as well as development, production, procurement, upgrading, storage and disposal of military products.
