In October 1969, a national security official named Daniel Ellsberg began secretly photocopying 7,000 classified Vietnam War documents. Julian Assange’s attorney filed a new request Wednesday in Stockholm for Sweden to scrap the arrest warrant against the WikiLeaks founder, arguing that the order should be torn up and Assange allowed to live out his asylum in Ecuador in the face of Washington’s desire to arrest the whistleblower.

As the latest installment of it’s ‘Vault 7’ series, WikiLeaks has just dropped a user manual describing a CIA project known as ‘Scribbles’ (a.k.a. the “Snowden Stopper”), a piece of software purportedly designed to allow the embedding of ‘web beacon’ tags into documents “likely to be stolen.”
