WATCH: Texas Cops Forcefully Remove and Arrest Activist for Recording Legislative Hearing on Anti-Abortion Bill

Texas state troopers forcefully dragged an activist out of the State Capital during a public committee hearing on a bill seeking to restrict abortions after a committee chairman announced orders for her stop live streaming footage of her political representatives in action even though Texas law clearly states it’s a legally protected activity.
State Affairs Committee Chairman Byron Cook directed liberty activist Amy Hedtke to stop recording the meeting over the proposed restrictions, claiming she wasn’t permitted to record because she didn’t have the proper media credentials.

Chicago Cop who Killed Laquan McDonald Slapped with 16 Additional Charges – One for Each Bullet he Shot

Jason Van Dyke became the first Chicago police officer in history to be charged with murder for an on-duty shooting that left a 17-year-old boy dead.
And only because a judge ordered the release of the dash cam video that Chicago police had refused to release for more than a year.
Earlier today, prosecutors slapped Van Dyke with an additional 16 charges of aggravated battery with a firearm – one for each bullet he fired at Laquan McDonald  – whom police claimed had “lunged” at the cop with a knife. 

New Hampshire Journalist Not Allowed to Record Public Meeting Because “House Rules”

Concerned about the expenses involved in the New Hampshire Justice Department’s ongoing court battle to prevent voters from taking selfies in the voting booth, local activist and journalist Dave Ridley showed up to their budget workshop meeting, camera in hand, to ask members of the House Finance Committee how they felt about the mounting expenses in fighting the suit.
But committee members waisted little time in telling Ridley that he would not be allowed to video record the meeting.

These days it is not uncommon for cops to get arrested for assault.
But Officer Christopher Reiter, 36, of the Minneapolis Police Department took things way too far when he kicked Mohamed Osman while he was already down on the ground.
Osman suffered severe brain injuries, brain bleeding and ended up with fractures in his face, including sinus fractures in his nose.
Because of the injuries, Osman is unable to work.

A chaotic video showing Missouri police trying to control a melee that broke out in a gas station early Sunday morning shows one cop shoving a woman from behind after she had placed her hands in the air under orders from another officer.
Questions from local media about that incident prompted the Columbia Police Department to release their own body cam footage of the shoving incident along with a press release explaining they had to shove her in the name of safety.

A Louisiana sheriff’s deputy was caught on video body slamming a seventh-grader less than half his size to the ground while breaking up a fight at Westdale Middle School.
Now the Baton East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is defending the deputy’s actions.
A spokeswoman for the department, Casey Hicks, responded to WASB  about the video saying that sometimes use force is necessary in order to neutralize situations.

Ohio cops shot and killed an unarmed man in front of his girlfriend and three kids last week after he refused to pull over for a traffic violation.
Roy Evans Jr., who had a suspended drivers’ license, led police on high speed chase for 14-minutes on March 7.
When Strongville cops spun out his van with spike strips, Evans Jr. reached down, attempting to light a cigarette.
That was the last thing he’d ever do.
“Let me see your hands! Let me see your hands!” an officer screams seconds before blasting Evans in the chest point blank with two rounds.

Southern California cops shot and killed a mentally ill man Sunday after he barricaded himself inside his van after being pulled over for an inoperable tail light.
Orange police can be seen flushing the man out of the van with high-powered water hoses – which they say they did for his safety – before shooting  him to death.
They claimed he had a knife, but a video of the incident recorded by OnScene.TV does not show a knife in his hands.
However, the videographer was standing further away from the man than the cops.

Three Ohio cops were suspended after a video surfaced on social media showing them brutally arresting a man standing on the sidewalk with his hands in his pockets after leaving a hospital.
The officers were suspended by their employer, Ohio Health Protective Services, while the security company investigates the incident, according to ABC6 in Columbus.

Arizona Cop Offers Silent Citizen Bite of his Burger After Unlawful Air Force Base Arrest

An Arizona cop who was staking out a citizen journalist after he was released from jail for recording outside of an air force base offered him a bite of his cheeseburger when the videographer approached him with his camera to engage in some friendly banter.
But Glendale Police Lieutenant Robert Jones reneged on his offer to share his ground round after the video activist Silent Citizen took him up on it.
