Texas Cop Assaults Woman Claiming it was for Her Protection

A Texas woman who stepped out of her apartment to record police trying to enter her neighbor’s apartment ended up assaulted by an officer who claimed he was only doing it for her safety.
Rosenberg police officer Adam Vasquez told her since she was already a victim of assault, he had the right to assault her again.
But the woman, Sydney Tawater, insisted she was not a victim of assault. At least not until she was assaulted by the Texas cop.
She insists she was only trying to record the officers, which is her First Amendment right.

A family of police activists recording police activity in Southern California caught the tail-end of a police shooting Saturday night where one man ended up dying on the streets.
San Bernardino police said they shot and killed Cody Wayne Jarrett, 26, because he was wielding a sawed-off shotgun when they pulled him over in a stolen car.

Georgia cops were looking for a man named Michael Clay when they approached a man named Patrick Mumford, ordering him to state his name.
Mumford, who was sitting inside a car parked in a residential front yard minding his own business, was taken aback by the surprise visit from a group of police officers, so he asked why they were asking for his name.
But Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan officer Sharif Lockett made it clear that he was not going to ask again, so Mumford told him his name was “Patrick.”

Louisiana police suspended the First Amendment during mass protests in Baton Rouge over the weekend, sweeping up journalists and protesters alike for exercising their rights to free speech.
One of those arrested was Lee Stranahan, a Black Lives Matter critic, filmmaker and news reporter for the conservative news outlet Breitbart.

In a chilling display of police intimidation, Rochester police dressed in riot gear snatched a woman away as she was conducting an on-camera interview with a news reporter during a protest against police abuse in New York Saturday night.
“I’m not going to hit anybody, I’m not going to shoot anybody,” said the woman, whose name is not known at this time. “I’m going to speak to you, I’m going to use my words.”
“I’m going to articulate myself because the message needs to be heard, the message is important,” she expressed to Tara Grimes, a reporter for Time-Warner Cable.

Last month, an Oklahoma cop shot and killed an unarmed man after investigators said the man made a “threatening move” towards the officer.

That was enough to make Wagoner police officer Robert Reynolds fear for his life, a man who apparently never played cops and robbers as a child.

In the moments after shooting and killing Alton Sterling in front of a convenience store where he had been selling CDs, Baton Rouge police entered the business and began confiscating all surveillance footage that may have captured the incident.
They also seized Abdullah Muflahi’s cell phone that had recorded the shooting, before handcuffing him and placing him in the back of a patrol car.
They did all this without a warrant, which is illegal.

A Florida security guard opened fire after smashing a man’s cellphone, when he recorded a disagreement over his friend peeing in a City of Tampa parking garage.
After separating the witness from his camera, Everoy Farqharson opened fire on the both men.
Luckily, neither was injured.
The security guard fired his handgun four times, missing both men.
Now, the Florida security guard is facing serious charges for the battery, the assault and his failed attempt to cover up the incident too.
