Donald Trump has yet again stated that he seeks to have good or even “great” relations with Russia. Speaking beside Finnish President Sauli Niinisto, Trump stated,
“I hope that we do have good relations with Russia. I say it loud and clear, I’ve been saying it for years: I think it’s a good thing if we have great relationships, or at least good relationships with Russia.
It’s a big country, it’s a nuclear country, it’s a country that we should get along with, and I think we will eventually get along with Russia”.
While some pundits continue to downplay the increasingly strong partnership between Russia and China, the reality is that as Russia’s economy continues to grow and as China’s geo-political pronouncements continue to become more wide reaching, the world is witnessing the final stage of a new geo-political alignment that has been many years in the making.
China and Russia are now, not only on the same side of many global issues but they are speaking in a singular voice with a similarly loud volume.
Maria Zakharova, the official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry has given a lengthy answer to a question regarding Russia’s position on Washington’s unilateral sanctions against Venezuela.

Recently, Russia declared its position steadfastly opposed to war and punitive measures against the government of Venezuela. Today, China has joined this call in support of Caracus against further US measures of fear, threats and intimidation.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying has stated,
“The present problem in Venezuela should be resolved by the Venezuelan government and people themselves.
On 25 August President Trump signed an executive order slapping Venezuela with the most sweeping economic sanctions ever. They practically paralyze Venezuela, threaten to plunge her into famine. It’s an economic coup of the worst kind. It’s outright financial warfare. For all those western nations for which such unilateral actions by the Zionist-led Washington regime has become the new normal – it is one of the highest criminal assaults a nation can impose on another nation.
