China comes out in strong show of support for Venezuela

China is scheduled to address the UN General Assembly on the 21st of September, the same day as Russia, but prior to the speech, it already became clear that China was not about to take heed of Donald Trump’s attempts to isolate Venezuela.
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart Jorge Arreaza after which China declared its everlasting friendship towards Venezuela.
Wang further stated,

Two of the four countries which were subject to military threats during Donald Trump’s recent speech before the world’s largest body dedicated to world peace, have responded to his provocative statements.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was called a “socialist dictator” by Trump who then launched into a rage against socialist politics while continuing to target Venezuela.
Maduro addressed Trump’s remarks during an event in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, saying,

Venezuela Accused Of Drug Peddling After Dropping U.S.’ Petrodollar Trade Scheme

In what is set to be a major blow to the U.S.’ increasingly fragile “petrodollar” system, Venezuela announced on Wednesday that it would no longer accept U.S. dollars as payment for its crude oil exports. According to the Wall Street Journal, Venezuela has begun using euros in lieu of the dollar and will convert existing cash holdings into euros as well.
