Justin Amash isn't hiding from his constituents and he's not hiding the media coverage of his raucous downhill meetings. He welcomes them and wants Michiganders to know about them. Amash's Grand Rapids-based seat is in a swing district (PVI is R+4); most of the voters coming from Kent (Grand Rapids) and Calhoun (Battle Creek) counties. Obama won it 50-49% in 2008, lost it 53-46% in 2012 and Hillary lost to Trump 51.6% to 42.2%.

After almost a year of legal wrangling between the ACLU and Utah prosecutors, body cam footage showing Salt Lake City police officers shooting a teenager wielding a metal rod was released Monday – four months after the cops were cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting.
The video shows Abdullahi “Abdi” Mohamed, 17, advancing towards a man named Kelly McRae while holding the metal rod before he is shot in front of a homeless shelter on February 27, 2016.
The case for HillaryThe 3 biggest newspapers in South Carolina, The Post and Courier, The State and the Greenville News are all reliably Republican in a reliably red state. In 1964 South Carolina was one of only 6 states to vote for Barry Goldwater when he was crushed by Lyndon Johnson, 43,127,041 to 27,175,754 in the popular vote and 486-52 in the electoral college.
The Salt Lake Tribune isn't a mouthpiece for the LDS Church; but it is Utah's biggest newspaper and yesterday it endorsed Hillary Clinton.
Two months after Utah police dragged his name through the mud, accusing the teen of drugging an officer while preparing his food at Subway, police are now saying there were no drugs in the officer’s drink.
So the Layton police officer apparently drugged himself.
Not that they have even released his name.
But they were sure to release Tanis Lloyd Ukena’s name as well as his mugshot after arresting the 18-year-old man on August 8 in a story that quickly went viral, charging him with a felony, accusing him of lacing the cop’s drink with marijuana and methamphetamine.
The DSCC website lists all the Democratic candidates running for Senate this cycle-- except one. And they're not just listing the big battle grounds like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Arizona, Florida and New Hampshire. The DSCC includes races where no one thinks there's one chance in 100 for the Democratic candidate to win-- like in Idaho where some guy named Jerry Sturgill is taking on Mike Crapo and in South Carolina, where Pastor Thomas Dixon is challenging Tim Scott.
