However, future aerial clashes using the latest missiles (R-77s, Meteors, AIM-120s) could potentially take place over enormous ranges, while even short-range combat may involve all-aspect missiles like the AIM-9X and R-74 that don’t require pointing the aircraft at the target. Nonetheless, the Su-35’s speed (which contributes to a missile’s velocity) and large load-carrying abilities mean it can hold its own in beyond-visual-range combat.

In recent months, the US Air Force has issued calls for ethnic Russians to provide DNA samples for a mysterious “research” program. US Air Force Captain Beau Downey claimed that the samples were required for “locomotor studies to identify various biomarkers associated with trauma.”
Downey further stated,
The US carried out its first combat airdrop in Afghanistan in more than two years last month, according to newly released US Air Force data.
A return to airdrops signals a possible deterioration of security for US troops operating in Afghanistan. Airdrops minimise the time an aircraft and aircrew spends in a hostile environment, allowing them to deliver cargo without having to land.
