Syrian Arab Army

The elite Republican Guard of the Syrian Arab Army along with Hezbollah and the volunteer militia National Defence Force have begun heavy operations along the Syria-Lebanon border against entrenched Salafist militants including al-Qaeda forces (known locally by the name Jabhat Fatah al-Sham formerly al-Nusra and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham)
The operation is intended to rid the mountainous western Qalamoun region of terrorists who have taken advantage of the foreboding terrain.

Video from RT Arabic has shown that Russian journalists helped administer battle-line medical aid to wounded soldiers of the Syrian Arab Army who were hurt during intense fighting with terrorists in the Jobar district of Damascus.
The footage shows men whose job was to cover the conflict putting humanity before all else.

(ANTIMEDIA Op-Ed) — The U.N. refugee agency (UNHCR) says more than 440,000 internally displaced Syrians and about 31,000 of those who have fled abroad have now returned to their hometowns, the BBC reports.
According to the BBC, “most of them have returned to Aleppo, Hama, Homs and Damascus with the aim of checking on their properties and finding out about family members.”

Virginia State Senator Richard Black has told Sputnik that if Presidential Elections were held in Syria today, the incumbent President Bashar al-Assad would win 90% of the vote.
Senator Black has based his analysis on  internal reports from US intelligence agencies with whom Black claims to have a good relationship.

The Syrian Arab Army has captured villages in Al-Raqqa Governorate for the first time since ISIS forced Syrian troops to abandon the region to terrorists in 2013.
Syria’s elite Tiger Forces have been making remarkable progress in the race to Raqqa while the United States is also trying to get a piece of the largely symbolic self-proclaimed capital of the so-called Islamic State.
Just as they had done in their Iraqi stronghold of Mosul, ISIS fighters in Raqqa have been fleeing the city with Deir ez-Zor being their primary destination.
