Turkish Army, ‘Rebels’ Launch Offensive to Capture Two Towns in Northern Aleppo

BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – The Turkish Army and their allies from the Free Syrian Army (TFSA) began an operation on Saturday to push the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) further south of their stronghold, Azaz, in northern Aleppo.

According to preliminary reports from northern Aleppo, the Turkish Army and their rebel allies are attempting to seize and secure two towns from the YPG forces near the key town of Tal Rifa’at.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:40 P.M.) – The Syrian and Russian air forces launched their largest attack of the year on northwestern Syria, a source from the military told Al-Masdar this evening.
According to the source, the Syrian and Russian air forces targeted dozens of towns and villages along the Hama-Idlib axis, with a high concentration of the strikes on the rebel stronghold of Kafr Naboudeh.
