Not to mention a few other things like all (ALL) citizens of voting age being allowed to register to vote without having to jump through moving hoops, and then being allowed to vote for candidates that will support the items on the list in fair primary and general elections without having to wait in line for up to 8 hours and/or jump through further moving hoops.

Yesterday, House Democrats-- without buy-in from any of the Democrats' conservative establishment leadership-- voted against Al Green's resolution to begin a formal investigation into impeaching Trump by sending his resolution to the Judiciary Committee to die. The Republicans and the Pelosi-faithful voted 332-95 against impeachment.

When Wall Street came after Franklin Roosevelt-- snd did they ever!-- he laughed in their faces and the American people gave him 4 terms. In fact, when he was reelected in 2036, when the banksters and Republicans were screaming "Socialism!" FDR beat Republican Alf Landon 27,747,636 (60.8%) to 16,679,543 (36.5%). FDR took every state but Maine and Vermont and won the electoral college 523 to 8.

Frackenlooper seems to have acquired the template for the anti-“socialism” raving the right was using before FDR pulverized the Republican Party and the conservative Democrats’ so-called American Liberty League. Back in 1936, American voters responded to the conservatives’ dire rantings about “Socialism!!!” by reelecting Roosevelt 27,747,636 (60.8%) to 16,679,543 (36.5%).

Al Smith is known primarily as having been the first Roman Catholic presidential nominee (1928). He was also a 4-term governor of New York. He was defeated badly for the presidency in ’28, winning just 8 states— 6 from the Deep South + Massachusetts and Rhode Island, even losing New York. While Smith was losing New York, Franklin Roosevelt, an ally was winning the gubernatorial seat created by Smith’s run for president. Roosevelt was reelected in 1930 (in a landslide) that propelled him towards the 1932 presidential nomination.

Bernie's ideas seem very popular. Have you noticed? And that means Third Way, a major player among those who are part of the Republican wing of the Democratic Party, is on the attack. Matt Bennett, Third Way’s senior vice president, when talking about senators running for president noted that "We’re open to everybody except for him." That was a year ago. The Republican wing of the party is putting all they've got into poisoning the well for Bernie.

by NoahWhenever I encounter Republicans, they mouth a lot of fear-based nonsense in defense of their Putin-loving president and their hate for "others." One of the most common things I hear from such people is "Socialism never works." They don't like their money going to other people, especially "other" kind of people. They say this while approving of the fact that billions and billions of their (and our) taxpayer dollars are going to U.S.

In a primary cycle that ended this week, the Democratic establishment in Virginia got the results of their efforts to run an "ex"-Republican legislator and all around piece of dog crap, Mark Wolfe, against an incumbent of their own party-- free-thinking, Democratic Socialist Delegate Lee Carter. Carter never appeared all that concerned when I spoke with him and he easily turned back the challenge, winning the primary last Tuesday 57.72% to 42.28%.

There's another primary going on-- for who will dominate the conservative lane in the Democratic primary. In the end, there aren't going to be 24 candidates-- probably just 3: a progressive (Bernie, maybe Elizabeth Warren), an identity politics candidate (likely Kamala Harris) and a conservative/establishment/status quo candidate (likely Biden). But entitled multimillionaires John Delaney and John Frackenlooper aren't giving up.
