It's not so much that we need to know about how the Russians stole the election for Trump-- like in a gossip kind of way-- but that we have the information so we can prevent it from happening again. The House Republicans have already turned down financing underwriting any fixes to make sure it doesn't happen.

Don Blankenship coulda been a contender. Despite having been in prison, he was on track to win the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate until Trump gave him the big thumbs down. By the May 8 primary he came in a distant third:

How bad is Tom Carper in the Senate? I guess he could be worse. Delaware is a very blue state. All the members of their congressional delegation are Democrats, albeit conservative Democrats. The governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General and Secretary of State are all Democrats. Democrats have a majority in the state Senate and in the state House.

Earlier today, I noted that the worst candidate the DCCC recruited this cycle and that Democrats nominated for the House is Jeff Van Drew in New Jersey. How do I know? He's a state senator and has a long and putrid voting record-- easy peasy.

In 2016 Trump did well in states with quite a few Democratic senators coming up for reelection in November. Anthony Kennedy didn't just fuck America; he really fucked these senators in red and swing states Trump won:

But Schumer recognized a kindred spirit and gave her the nomination.

Tony Cárdenas had no problem winning his heavily Democratic San Fernado Valley reelection bid, despite credible accusations that he he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl and threatened to fire her father if she squealed. Last month an L.A. Superior Court judge ruled that there is "a reasonable and meritorious basis" for the suit to go forward but Pelosi quashed it in Congress.
