It Turns out Some Conspiracy Theories About Monsanto and Roundup Are True

(ZHEIf we had a dime for every kooky conspiracy theory we’ve heard alleging some vast corporate conspiracy to exploit the treasures of the earth, destroy the environment and poison people with unknown carcinogens all while buying off politicians to cover their tracks, we would be rich. The problem, of course, is that sometimes the conspiracy theories prove to be completely accurate.

California Wins Right To Label Monsanto Roundup With Cancer Warning

FRESNO, Calif. (REPORT) — California can require Monsanto to label its popular weed-killer Roundup as a possible cancer threat despite an insistence from the chemical giant that it poses no risk to people, a judge tentatively ruled Friday.

EPA Recommends Deregulating Highly Invasive GE Grass

The EPA released a final environmental impact statement on December 7 giving the green light to creeping bentgrass, a highly invasive type of grass genetically engineered by Monsanto and Scotts Miracle Gro-Co. to withstand what would normally be a lethal dose of glyphosate. [1]

The agency recommended the deregulation of the plant because it “is unlikely to pose a plant pest risk.” Nothing could be further from the truth, based on past experience. [2]
